NCIS: Los Angeles Review: "Breach"

6 January 2010 6:56 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Tuesday's episode of NCIS: Los Angeles featured Callen at his undercover best and provided interesting back story on Sam - a story with a bittersweet ending for Agent Hanna.

Last night's plot unfolded at the perfect pace with twists we didn't see coming, and like the original, we're often struck by how we forget we're watching actors. Terrific stuff.

What began as a nightclub killing led to a full-on NCIS investigation of a terrorist. Follow this link for our basic episode recap, then check out our review of "Breach" below ...

A Petty Officer is killed in a strip club after a young black man drives his truck into the club, narrowly missing a stripper Katya who NCIS believes may be the real target.

Smokin’ Aces 2: Assassins’ Ball – DVD Review

This sets in motion a chain of events that has a $1million bounty on Buddy’s head and sparks the interest of every low life assassin, femme fatale and mobster in the vicinity.

Even though the critics weren’t very kind to Carnahan’s flick, it enjoyed enough success over the course of its theatrical release and »

Daybreakers Review

3 January 2010 9:32 AM, PST | Filmofilia | See recent Filmofilia news »

The concept behind “Daybreakers” is reminiscent of “I Am Legend.” No, not the movie with Will Smith, but the book. In the near future, vampires have become the dominant society on the planet. Grocery stores are no longer relevant as human blood is the only form of nourishment that the vampires require. A vampire by the name of Charles Bromley (Sam Neill) is the head of a company that specializes in farming humans for their blood. The problem is that humans are nearing extinction and there aren’t that many of them left to farm. To keep his company afloat, he enlists the help of a scientist named Edward (Ethan Hawke) to come up with a blood supplement. Time and time again, Edward (poor choice of name) attempts to find another way of nourishing the vampire race, but fails…read more [BadGuyWins]
