Trivia:

The "fog" in the scene after Sarah and Reese leave the bridge where they spent the night is actually bug spray, due to the big "fly scare" in the filming location at that time. The crew was going to wait until the spray dissipated, but decided to use it as fog for the effect instead. This is revealed in a DVD easter egg, which can be found by pressing the right arrow in the languages section until the square on the right is lit up.

Goofs:

Continuity: The events from the time Sarah and Reese arrive at the hotel until the love scene are all during the day. In the middle of this Sarah calls her mom's cabin and talks to the terminator. The shot of the cabin is at night, as is the following shot of the terminator riding his motorcycle. Then everything is daytime again until he arrives at the hotel.

This is the movie that made a big break through for sci-fi movies!!!!

This was such an excellent movie. It had excellent effects (for it's time and $$$). I saw this movie very young and grew up to love it more and more. It has action, scary scenes, romance, a powerful plot, and a curious out-look to the future. I have to say, this was when James Cameron was a genious. And had excellent ideas. This was definatly one of the movies of the eighties. And I got the DVD when it came out, the DVD deserves a 9/10. As for this movie alone:

If you want to know what it's about: A machine/terminator and a soldier from the future is sent from 2029 back to 1984. The soldier's purpose, to protect a woman who will give birth to a brave hero in the future. And the terminator's purpose, to destroy the woman who will give birth to an enemy(the protector's hero, if you didn't know)to him and his leader. In the mean time it's a matter of defeating the terminator so this woman can survive and save the future. And the rest you'll have to see for yourself.

WATCH THIS MOVIE!!! It is soooooo good!!!!
