Many Surprises!
lavatch21 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, Billy's ex-wife says about the people surrounding her in the corporate headquarters of Born Tech, "I wish people around me would be a little nicer." That line could apply to nearly every character in this series! Billy and his staff are swamped with work in the truckloads of discovery materials provided by Born Tech. Among the many twists of this program, the mousy attorney Lucy replaces Callie as lead attorney on Billy's case. This Cooperman's decision. Perhaps the reason is personal more than professional, as apparent when he finally meets Lucy in the flesh (literally, in his birthday suit) as the end of this episode.

The most intriguing character in this episode is the priest, who heard Ryan's confession, and finally reveals to Billy that Ryan would never have taken his life.

An Unprincipled Megalomaniac Named Donald.......Hmmmm!

There is more exposition here than serious plot implications, although that's a bit understated. Cooperman marches to his own drummer and likes to pull strings. He expels the insufferable (but attractive) virago and replaces her with the innocent stuttering, inexperienced female lawyer. As a matter of fact, the place is filled with attractive woman lawyers. We finally get a glimpse of the seriousness of what was going on aboard that boat. We are introduced to an engineer who lets McBride know what the substance is that was found on the other boat after the explosion. There are so many sick things going on here. Billy needs to establish that the dead man was not suicidal and he confronts the priest who has not been cooperative. The episode ends with quite a startling event. Let's see where this takes us as it relates to the case.

Is it a radio play?

I really like the series. But the lighting couldn't have been made any darker. I can hardly see anything sometimes. It's a shame. You got wonderful actors and you just can't see them act.
