This episode is definitely a blast. I really liked the concept of hanging in the balance that the plot is themed around. Basically, the kids need to have at least 50% good ratings from their parent-teacher conferences in order to get the biggest banana split there is to offer in town. Throughout the episode, we see their ratings going in all kinds of directions. This really builds up anticipation, as it never seems like the results will be known. I liked how there were occasionally a few twists that couldn't be seen coming, effectively taking the advantage of lowered expectations. I personally found myself often left worried when I saw their ratings in the bad zone, and when I saw them enter the good zone, I just cheered them on. I always hoped for them to get that banana split. The mere fact that the constant pressure of ratings hanging in the balance kept me on the edge of my seat is why I really like this episode. If you're looking to be thrilled, this is the perfect episode to watch. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, and you will be begging to see the results that come out of the parent-teacher conferences, and most importantly, if the kids' overall ratings will be good enough.
