- It's parent-teacher conference night and the Loud parents find themselves endlessly running around from class to class. Lincoln has his heart set on the Banana Split that their parents promised if the Loud kids get enough good reviews.
- Tonight is parent-teacher conference night, and the Loud parents are incredibly busy preparing. They are so busy, they make the kids fend for themselves when it comes to dinner. After Mrs. Loud mentions that it's parent-teacher conference night, the kids get excited. Lincoln explains that this is because every year, their father promises to buy them the biggest dessert in Royal Woods, the banana split in a canoe, as a reward, provided they get at least 50% positive reviews. After the parents leave, Lincoln invites his friend, Clyde, to come to the house and track the results live before everyone else with his Parent-Teacher Tracker 3800. First up, the Loud parents drive to the elementary school for Lucy's conference. At the conference, Lucy's teacher, Ms. Riley, talks about how Lucy is well-behaved in class and reads well above her grade level. She then discusses how during their unit on poetry, Lucy read a "poem," which turned out to be an incantation that summoned a nether beast. When Mr. Loud asks if this means she gets a positive review, the nether beast appears out of thin air and warns Ms. Riley to give her a good review or "pay the ultimate price." Ms. Riley decides to heed the nether beast's warning by giving Lucy a good review, and the parents leave. Next, the parents drive to the high school for Leni's conference. However, once they arrive, Leni's teacher immediately gives her a bad review because she is not very smart and therefore struggles academically. Just as Clyde slides Leni into the "negative" column on his Parent-Teacher Tracker 3800, Lincoln comes down the stairs, pre-ordering the banana split in a canoe. Clyde takes him into the kitchen and quickly points out that he has not even turned in his midterm essay. Lincoln tries to blow it over by pointing out that this is the first year Lisa has had a parent-teacher conference, and as far as he is concerned, Lisa is guaranteed to get a good review because she is academically gifted. Meanwhile, the parents have returned to their car since Leni's conference ended faster than expected. They fall asleep in the car, and twenty minutes later, they wake up, realizing they are late for the next conference. They then drive to the elementary school for Lisa's conference. When they arrive, Lisa's teacher, Miss Allegra, talks about how she is academically gifted but has poor social skills (the primary focus of their first-grade class). She brings up an instance when Lisa ruined another student named Ethan's fun by knocking down his block tower under the excuse that it wasn't structurally sound in case of an earthquake, backed up by being mean to him by saying that his youth is no excuse for ignorance. This causes Lisa to get a bad review. Just as Lincoln comes down the stairs, once again ordering the banana split in a canoe, he notices that Lisa has gotten a bad review and is shocked by the results. This leads him to believe that he is doomed because he cannot count on Lisa anymore, and he likely cannot count on the rest of his sisters, so now he needs a good review. Clyde suggests that Lincoln could get surprised by the results, but after taking one look at the ruckus they are causing, he quickly agrees that Lincoln needs a good review. His first suggestion to help Lincoln convince his teacher, Mr. Bolhofner, that he is a better student than he is, is by turning in his midterm essay, which Lincoln quickly tells him he hasn't even written yet. Lincoln then starts writing his midterm essay, then rides to the middle school on his bike, but upon reaching Mr. Bolhofner's classroom, he notices a note on the door, saying that his teacher will be back in five minutes. As he rushes to the bathroom to find Mr. Bolhofner, the Loud parents arrive at the same school for Lynn's conference. At the conference, Lynn's teacher, Ms. Tyte, talks about how Lynn is one of the best athletes in the school, but her competitive nature tends to bleed into the classroom environment. She then talks about an instance when Lynn shoved another student named Natalie to the ground when she was offering extra credit to whoever could erase the board first. However, she points out that Natalie is a lot to handle, so it was nice to have her out of the class for a couple of weeks, and she gives Lynn a positive review. Meanwhile, Lincoln arrives in the men's bathroom, and when he thinks he sees Mr. Bolhofner in a stall, he slides his essay underneath the door for him to grab. However, it turns out that the nether beast from earlier was behind the stall, and after it takes the essay, it scares Lincoln off with its red eyes instead of giving it back when told. The Loud parents then drive to the high school for Luan's conference. When they arrive, Luan's teacher, Mr. Yanaga, talks about how she has a high tendency to pull pranks, and he talks about one of them where she put a huge whoopee cushion on his chair, which sent him flying out of the classroom and into the hall when he sat on it. He then explains that he did not think the prank was funny because it caused him to break both of his legs; however, he still gives Luan a good review because he had been meaning to retire for a while, and the prank gave him a good reason to do so. Meanwhile, Lincoln arrives in Mr. Bolhofner's classroom, and he tries to explain that his essay got stolen by the nether beast, but Mr. Bolhofner does not believe him. After confessing that he did write his essay, he offers to go home and retrieve another copy. Meanwhile, the twins are having their conference. Their teacher, Ms. Daisy, talks about how they solve classroom mysteries as a team. She talks about an example where the class pet iguana died, and they exposed another student named Kevin for the murder. However, she also explains that they struggle with grammar, spelling, and math, so they both get bad reviews. The kids, who are now losing hope, think they can still get the reward because Luna's conference has not happened yet, but Lynn and Lisa are against this idea because there are very few rock stars who did well in school. Suddenly, Clyde picks up intel that Luna has gotten a good review because she took her teacher, Miss Hamilton, to a Mick Swagger concert. With seven out of eight conferences completed, the only kid left is Lincoln. Suddenly, Lincoln arrives home, distraught because Mr. Bolhofner told him there is nothing he can do about his essay. However, he quickly notices that the fate of the reward rests solely in his hands, and he declares that they are doomed because not only did he not turn in his essay, but Mr. Bolhofner is also not his biggest fan. Suddenly, he gets the idea to give Mr. Bolhofner a present because the same thing worked out for Luna, and upon grabbing a wrapped gift, he speeds to school on his bike, just as his parents also leave for his conference. While Lincoln rides to school, his parents mistakenly drive to the high school because they wrote that he is in 9th grade on their chart, rather than 6th. After realizing their mistake, they turn their car around and drive to the middle school. However, once Lincoln arrives, Mr. Bolhofner rejects the present. Just then, Lincoln's parents arrive at the school, and he throws them under the bus by telling his teacher that the reason why he didn't turn in his essay on time is that they are extremely scattered due to having eleven kids, so they can never help anyone with their homework. Mr. Bolhofner sees the light in what Lincoln says and assures him that he is in good hands. However, just then, the Loud parents arrive at the classroom for Lincoln's conference, and Lincoln is forced to hide from them. Playing along with what Lincoln said, Mr. Bolhonfer gives him a good review, but he quickly blames the parents for it because Lincoln otherwise would not have gotten a good review had he not talked about them. After hearing the impact it made on his parents, Lincoln confesses the truth that his parents are better than he had described them as, and he tells Mr. Bolhofner to pin the blame on him because he should have worked harder in his class. Mr. Bolhofner quickly agrees that Lincoln should have worked harder, and now knowing the truth, he gives him a thumbs-down. Later, the Loud parents arrive back home, and, not caring about what the kids' teachers said about them, order the banana split in a canoe for them.
