Caillou's Ultimate Punishment Day (2019)
This deserves a punishment day!
This movie is nothing but torture, even to the viewers. It has highly excessive amounts of child abuse that aren't funny at all, even if the creator played them for laughs. You don't EVER do the things that Boris did in this video; just think about it. Would you hack somebody into pieces with a lawnmower, force them to take a shower in propane as you light it on fire, gouge out their eyes and pour molten iron into their eye sockets, cut off their penis with a 1,000° knife, make a scorpion drip venom into their eye, etc.? I didn't think so. Plus, I should add that the final few punishments were highly disturbing and tragic. You don't EVER force a kid to shoot their pet and eat its corpse, and you could get arrested if you launched a nuclear warhead. All in all, these punishments are disgusting and made me lose my appetite. If you don't want to watch this kind of stuff, then stay away from this movie. You'll more easily relate to Caillou than anyone else if you watch it.
The Really Loud House: The Banana Split Decision (2022)
Kept me on the edge of my seat!
This episode is definitely a blast. I really liked the concept of hanging in the balance that the plot is themed around. Basically, the kids need to have at least 50% good ratings from their parent-teacher conferences in order to get the biggest banana split there is to offer in town. Throughout the episode, we see their ratings going in all kinds of directions. This really builds up anticipation, as it never seems like the results will be known. I liked how there were occasionally a few twists that couldn't be seen coming, effectively taking the advantage of lowered expectations. I personally found myself often left worried when I saw their ratings in the bad zone, and when I saw them enter the good zone, I just cheered them on. I always hoped for them to get that banana split. The mere fact that the constant pressure of ratings hanging in the balance kept me on the edge of my seat is why I really like this episode. If you're looking to be thrilled, this is the perfect episode to watch. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, and you will be begging to see the results that come out of the parent-teacher conferences, and most importantly, if the kids' overall ratings will be good enough.
The Really Loud House: The Chore Thing (2022)
Pretty good
Since this is the second episode of the entire series, I can really see how it's starting to shape up. This episode in particular is full of some memorable moments, including the scenes in the police car and all of those moments from the confrontation with Milkshake Marty. I really liked how Lincoln's plans always worked in this episode (except for his original plan to get out of chore day). I can also say that I kind of felt like I was on the edge of my seat during all of the moments when the girls were trapped in the basement with the Mesopotamian snake/goat monster. The only real downside that prevents me from giving it the highest rating is that some of the plot elements were a bit predictable. Nonetheless, this is still a good episode, and the ending really tied off all of the conflicts very well.
The Really Loud House: The Macho Man with the Plan (2022)
Great way to start off a series
When I heard that the original series was being adapted into live-action, I was absolutely hyped for it. When the day finally came, I sat down and watched the premiere of this episode. I have to say, this is probably the greatest start to any series that I have seen in quite a while. It presents great improved development of the characters after the preceding film did not do exactly the best job. I liked how Lincoln always had a strategy in this episode, and I thought he always made the right decisions. Heck, even the thing he did with getting Todd to pass off as him seemed well thought-out. He really is the man with the plan, as he claims at the beginning of the episode. I also like the song at the end. I feel like it gives us the perfect introduction to this new series by actually having the end occur on a high note. I am glad that Lincoln actually cares about the people who are important to him, and I'd say that he did exactly the right thing in this episode. Now I can't wait to watch the rest of the series after seeing just how well the first episode went.
Get Ungrounded Trivia (2021)
A Legend That Deserves More Attention
When this series first came out, the creator expected it to be boring and unattractive. Clearly, he was wrong! I absolutely enjoy the series, and it has certainly made a mark on becoming one of the most popular types of GoAnimate series of all time. Since this series is the first of its kind, it has a lot to offer that many may look past. It features lots of memorable contestants, and the questions are the perfect blend of challenging, nerdy, basic, and stupid all in one. The humor of this series is actually funny. I especially like some of the considerably more annoying contestants (like Elmo or Uolliac), and also a few of them who create literal plot twists (like Thumbs Up Guy and Liu Kang). The commercials are also funny and memorable. They're always played for comedic effect, and they excel at their job of generating laughs. On top of that, I absolutely LOVE the involvement of the Mexican Poop Man whenever he appears. I mean, come on! That is such a funny character, even though he can be a bit embarrassing. Sometimes, the jokes may get unfunny, but there is always something to back them up whenever this happens. I'd say, big thanks to Pappy Animate 2012 for taking the world by storm with this masterpiece and icon of a series. I would absolutely recommend it to people out there who are looking for comedy, brain challenges, anticipation, and what I can basically call the experience of a lifetime.
Get Ungrounded Trivia Business Edition (2021)
Memorable and Funny
I have always liked Get Ungrounded Trivia spoofs, and this one is one of the most memorable. It has a pretty different feel compared to the original, but that does not mean it's a bad series. I like how the episodes always have some kind of plot twist in them, often one that ends up sabotaging the game show itself. The contestants that cause these plot twists (like Seth Stewart and Doris) are also very memorable. Now, one problem I have with this series is that the commercials (yes, this series has commercials in the commercial breaks that aren't selected by broadcasters in it) are unappealing, and they aren't quite as funny as in the original. The plot twists, while memorable and funny, also seem to be formulaic, and that's kind of a weak point for this series. It feels obvious that the creator was really trying to make this series funny, and he did, but not exactly on the highest note. Nevertheless, this series is still pretty cool, and it has some great humor. It's not really my favorite, but I can't forget about it.
Parody of Get Ungrounded Trivia (2021)
Best GUT Spoof Ever!
The original Get Ungrounded Trivia is highly memorable, and I feel like this parody is the best of its kind. It has no ideas copied from the original, it has nothing exploited, and it is just as funny. The commercials are all amazing! It actually feels pretty similar to the original, but it still stands out on its own. It is hard to even tell that it was created by different people. It has plenty of original ideas, including the scene in one episode with a secret room for grounding. Huge thanks to A Guy for making such an iconic spoof of a legendary GoAnimate series. If I ever feel bored, I always want to watch this series, and it will make my day.
A Loud House Christmas (2021)
Enjoyable, but a bit questionable
When I first heard that this was coming up, I kept up to date on all of the news, just like I did with the animated film that came out a few months prior. When the day finally arrived, I watched the film, and I have a few things to say about it.
Obviously, I am not exactly cut out to be a movie critic, as I am the kind of person to like films that are not seen well by critics. I very much enjoyed this film, but personally, I think that the animated film was better. I like how they captured all of the important moments, but I feel like there was so much else that had been missed.
I would still recommend this film to other audiences who are fans of this franchise.
The Loud House (2021)
Well worth the wait
I am a HUGE fan of the series, and I had been waiting hard for this movie to come out by the time we got an estimated date of release. I followed up on all of the news, and I kept getting more and more excited. On the day it finally came out, I watched it, and it was more than I had hoped for. This was absolutely amazing! Please watch this movie, especially if you are a fan of the series. I highly recommend it.
