Some don't rate this as strong as the original but after my fourth or fifth viewing, something clicked and I didn't just appreciate the strong writing and clever jokes. Armando's timing of each scene and the setup is just amazing and this episode should be shown in media courses as an example of perfect timing. It's almost my favourite episode of the entire series.

Perhaps the best episode of Season 1 in spite of toilet humour

My overall rating of "Veep"'s Season 1: 5/10
So the president plotline is hilarious and truly inspired as is the usual bickering and the lightning-fast comedy pacing, but the toilet humour is quite unwelcome and bad continuity is, as usual, annoying. Combine it with some cringy and/or illogical moments and you get an episode that while good could be much better, which is an apt description for the entire season, actually.
They should've just cut the final ~2 minutes to have gotten an 8 or a 9 from me.
