I'm stunned. This was an absolutely brilliant episode. And honestly this episode felt like a movie in only 30 minutes, I forgot i was watching a tv show. Wish this episode never ended. Honestly sad there is only 3 more episodes left tgis season.

Simply wow!!!

Just when you think it can't possibly get any better comes an episode like this which is truly epic! Astonishing that they can pack so much emotion into such a short episode. The character, acting, the writing makes the somewhat basic, cliche storyline so deeply engaging, heartwarming. Biggest surprise of the season for me, sort of like Leicester City winning the Premiership. Never judge a book by its cover. An easy must watch for all!

Wow, came across this series completely by random yesterday and binge watched. Great characters, you can identify with all of them. Great episode, love the Roy Keane-like Roy Kent but love Ted and all the others. And so moving especially the Karaoke scenes and the sad tearful scenes towards the end, so moving especially with Ted's text to Rebecca accompanied by a great soundtrack including Strange by Celeste. Perfect, we all want to be decent and positive like Ted and strive to be better people.
I was wrong about this show

I tried this show a year ago. Struggled to get through the first episode and stopped in the middle of the second.
But it kept getting such high praise, I decided to give it another shot in the midst of season 2
I have really enjoyed it this time.
But this episode was where I fell in love with it. Really phenomenal half hour of television, with almost every main character getting a chance to shine, however brief. I laughed, I cried. Everything I'm looking for in a half hour episode.

Wow what an incredible episode with lots of touching moments. Just as lasso finally accepts the realty of his divorce and Roy opening up more and more. Also seeing a different side of Rebecca who seems to be becoming her true self again. Can't wait for the next ep.
All of this in just 30 minutes?

How can they make us feel so many different feelings in just 30 minutes? It's very funny and then it's sad but also beautiful. The cinematography and music combined with the acting makes the episode so great. Every shot is beautiful and it's hard to take your eyes off it.
Every character gets more likeable by every episode. The first episode introduced every character in a masterful way, but we did not know their motives and backstories, but now we do! They are so different from each other and sometimes they act stupidly or mean, but it's easier to understand why now. They are layered and even the seemingly happiest characters have their own mental problems.

This is one of the better episode of the series. We had a lot of
character development and the drama matched well with the comedy.
First we had Nate developing confidence in a great pre game talk.
Rebecca is returning to normal and is recovering from the divorce.
Great usage of the song from Frozen--well selected song - and Hanna
Waddingham is a good singer. Good showing Rebecca supporting Ted
through his issues too
Best episode so far

This episode was amazing. I was laughing, crying, and feeling every emotion in between. From the start of the episode with Nate roasting all the players, to the end scene in the club with Rebecca and Ted. Best show on TV right now.

Watershed moment for the series

When I started my free trial of Apple+ I chose to watch Ted Lasso because my son said it was the "only decent thing on there". After two episodes I certainly wasn't convinced; the premise felt patronising and the characters two-dimensional.
But it didn't take long to pick up and this episode represents its watershed, the series has now developed true depth and all the characters (except perhaps for the excruciating Jamie Tartt) are genuinely relatable. The casting is brilliant, and the appearance of Ellie Taylor as the aptly nicknamed "Sassy" most welcome.
I'd heard Ted Lasso compared to Schitt's Creek and I didn't really get it until now but, just as the Creek's characters rapidly transformed from cardboard archetypes into people you really cared about, the same has happened here. Funny, touching, and ultimately uplifting.

Wasn't sure about this show at first, but it's steadily improved episode by episode. However, this episode is when the show moves up a whole another level and shows that it could be the hit Apple TV are looking for. Can't wait to see how this show had in store...
The reason for success

Brilliant lines by Nate today.
This show became popular (or at least well credited) because it offers something for everybody. It's a perfect mix between comedy and drama.
In this episode we are introduced to Sassy who may become Ted's new lover...? And Roy and Kelsey are definitely developing too.
I wish the episodes were a bit longer. Or perhaps it's just me not liking how quickly they end cause they're so good!

Make Rebecca Great Again

I regard Ted Lasso as a comedy with lots of pathos. It is smart but this episode is more of a dramedy as Ted Lasso's little nervous ticks come to the fore.
Ted is under pressure. Not because AFC Richmond has not beaten Everton in 60 years. He has to sign divorce papers and even snaps at Nate in the hotel they are staying at in Liverpool.
Ted does make amends to Nate and asks him to deliver a team talk. Unusually Nate takes a candid approach which means insulting the players.
After the match the players go to a karaoke bar to celebrate. Rebecca belts out a tune but notices that Ted is having a panic attack.
The song 'Let it go' from Frozen is apt. Ted is single again. Rebecca realises that she is free from her marriage. Both characters have made an emotional connection. Although Ted is unaware that Rebecca wanted him to fail.

I really did not expect this show to win over my heart this quickly. Not after the first 3ish episodes (which were fine), that didn't evoke much in me.
I'm not a football fan, but I thought like: you didn't care for the ins and outs of a hospital as well but ended up liking Scrubs anyways so screw it.
And man oh man- this episode won me completely over. At first I found Ted to be so annoying but now, after learning all these different sides to him and watching his natural kindness changing the hearts of the people around him is just wholesome. This man has feelings and damn it, he's going to show them too.
It's very rare to find a show or any media at all that depicts a man who is not afraid to cry or show his weakness in front of others or at all really.
Can't wait to find out what's going to happen next.

Now this episode hit me the feels... It starts out gloomy with the team feeling bad about meeting Everton (who have signed James Rodriguez in real life). They get the MOTHER of pep talks from Nathan... fast forward and Ted has a panic attack and someone walks into his room.
Now at this point, I need Rebecca and Ted to get jiggy with it lol.. In case you haven't realised it, this is not a review as much as it is me typing senseless googly words...
Stay safe y'all.

You know when you want to hate something because it has turned out to be something it wasn't in the first place?
Only 7 episodes old and the show has evolved from the mickey raking of two countries divided by s mutual language to something meaningful where you care about the characters and their frailties.
Ok, there was no actual football in this episode but the hurt and despondency gets to you as thd viewer and cheering on Nathan with his pre-match honest but fair speech to the players.
There hasn't been any real out and out laughter in the series do far but the compassion is generates now makes up for it.
Great writing.
