The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

As in the first film, Mystique appears as a somewhat reptilian and blue but definitely feminine and shapely mutant who's otherwise nude except for certain strategically placed coverings that prevent anything explicit from being seen. Even so, her breasts are otherwise clearly visible as are her buttocks, and there are various shots throughout the movie (close-up and full body) that show their definite shape.

Jean Grey kisses Wolverine passionately when he confesses his love for her.

The disguised Mystique is shown in a seductive way before she seduces a man at a restaurant, aggressively taking him to the restroom and proceeding into a stall. Besides some passionate kissing, there is nothing graphic, for the man loses conscienceness from a drugged drink.

Mystique discguises herself as Jean Grey in order to take advantage of Wolverine. They kiss vigorously and Wolverine is seen taking off her shirt until Wolverine realizes what's happening.

Wolverine's flashback shows him running down a hall. It is suggested that he is probably unclothed, but the lighting is low, so mid-section is hidden.

Rogue is seen taking her shirt off, it is not seen but she is seen pulling down straps and bare shoulders are visible. A man looks to see her shirtless.

Violence & Gore

Nightcrawler makes his way through the White House. When a guard tries to stop him, he jumps on the man and knocks him down. He then breaks through a wall or door and knocks more people down. Various guards and/or Secret Service agents fire at him, but he dissolves into a mist only to reappear behind others from where he hits and/or kicks them. He proceeds to hit or knock down more, as more shooting at him occurs. We hear a great deal of gunfire from behind a closed door that then bursts open from a person hitting it on the other side. Nightcrawler then strikes more people (apparently just rendering them unconscious rather than dead, although that's not a certainty) and even drops one from the ceiling. He then pins the President to his desk and raises a knife, but disappears just as he drives it down (into the desk) and an agent shoots him. There is no blood shown in this sequence.

A man dies after the iron in his body is sucked out. There are blood spots on his shirt.

Wolverine kills many of the forces that infiltrate the mutants' school campus. He uses his claws to decapitate and otherwise fataly wound them. There is no blood shown in this sequence.

Wolverine is shot in the head by a law enforcer, and a drop of blood falls from the bullet hole. Pyro then forces the police and their cars back with fire.

In his flashback, a blood-covered Wolverine runs down a hallway.

Wolverine and another woman fight, stabbing and cutting each other over and over again. A few drops of blood are seen falling into some water. Other than several red scratches, there is no other blood shown.

Mystique uses a mercenary as a human shield, who is subsequently shot multiple times (not graphic).

Profanity

At least 3 "s" words, 2 slang terms using male genitals ("d*ck"), 1 for breasts ("t*t"), 6 hells, 1 a**, 1 damn, 4 uses of "Oh my God," 2 of "My God" and 1 use of "Oh God" as exclamations, 1 flip-off.

Wolverine asks Bobby if they have any beer and the student replies that it's a school (meaning they don't).

Wolverine smokes a cigar in the film's beginning.

One teenage smoker is shown smoking around younger children; he eventually catches fire as a result of his cigarette. Using a standardized scoring system, this film received a smoking rating of 4 Butts (on a scale of 0-4 Butts). For more information on the impact of onscreen smoking and the initiation of youth tobacco use, or for more information on the rating system, visit www.smokescreeners.org.

The first scene with Nightcrawler is quite scary.

The fight scene between Ladystrike and Wolverine is intense. Especially the way she is killed.
