The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

A man asks another if he's masturbating (as a joke)

A man has two kids locked up in a closet while he rapes their mother (implied, but nothing is seen or heard).

David slips off his wedding ring when he meets an attractive woman, indicating that he is considering sex with her, but this is only implied, and David makes the right choice instead.

In a flashback, it is implied that a man sexually assaulted an unconscious woman, but nothing is shown or heard.

Violence & Gore

Two kids are held up against their will by a kidnapper.

A man chokes another man to death graphically onscreen, though no gore or blood is present.

A man is hit in the head with a beer bottle.

A woman has her purse stolen at gunpoint (she is unharmed).

David is thrown into a pool by an attacker.

Profanity

very minor language. One Godd----it

David stops a man whom he believes to be a drug dealer, but after frisking that man, he doesn't find anything on him.

A trainwreck occurs (off camera) killing nearly everyone on board. Only David and another man survived, and the man who survived starts to die as the doctors talk to David about being the only survivor.

The opening scene is Elijah being born, and is born with broken bones. It is later revealed he has very weak bones.

Later Elijah falls down a flight of stairs and breaks many bones again.

A scene where Joseph thinks David is invincible and points a gun at him telling him he will "prove it" (implying he is going to shoot his father...he does not)

David sneaks into a house and opens a closet and finds two beat-up kids tied up.

A man graphically chokes a killer to death onscreen.

David tracks a villain to a home, finding evidence of brutal murders. Nothing gory is seen, but the tone of the scenario is very grim and frightening.

When David falls into a pool, he nearly drowns as the pool cover smothers him.
