La haine (1995) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

Sex references, not too strong.

Violence & Gore

Shots of a riot and police beatings at the beginning. Some standoffs and chase scenes where you're scared that there will be violence. A torture scene that doesn't escalate into anything too violent (no weapons are used against the characters). In a fantasy sequence, a man shoots two police officers with his hand (little blood, they fall through a window). A man gets shot in the face at point-blank by a cop. We see his body right afterwards. Two men point guns at each other, and we hear a shot (we don't know who dies).

Profanity

Very frequent and strong--lots of f-words and racial slurs, etc.

Characters smoke weed throughout the movie, a guy offers some other people a line of cocaine.

The whole movie is extremely tense--you're always scared that there will be violence, (and there is at the end).
