Academy Award winner Jodie Foster penned an essay in this week's People Magazine, remembering her late costar Natasha Richardson. Two two starred in 1994's Nell, along with Richardson's husband Liam Neeson, where Foster says she grew to know and love the luminous actress.
"Every weekend Natasha cooked delicious dinners where we all talked and played board games. They were memorable evenings filled with her deep hearty laugh and tons of stories...she wanted to create a sense of family wherever she went," Foster writes.
Jodie also indicates that the movie set was the site of "the first blushes of Liam and Natasha's relationship."

The family of actress Natasha Richardson (The White Countess) officially released the news earlier today. She was declared dead today at the age of 45. What seemed like a minor skiing accident on a practice trail in Quebec (she reportedly walked away from the fall, laughing) quickly morphed into a life ending tragedy. Head trauma and brain injuries are mysterious things and difficult to predict (here's an article with a neurologist theorizing on the matter).
This is a loss to everyone who enjoyed her work and of course especially tragic for her family, one of the most important film and stage families of the past century. Natasha's father, Oscar winning director Tony Richardson (Tom Jones) passed away in 1991 but her mother, the legendary Vanessa Redgrave is still vital and working. Natasha performed with Vanessa just two months ago here in New York City as mother in daughter in Stephen Sondheim's classic A Little Night Music.

Jodie Foster has become the latest star to pay tribute to actress Natasha Richardson, who died on Wednesday.
In a statement, Foster, who starred alongside the Brit and her husband Liam Neeson in 1994 movie Nell, remembers Richardson as a woman who "loved fiercely".
She says, "Natasha was brilliant, beautiful, funny, talented beyond measure, as emotionally raw as she was razor sharp.
"Tasha loved fiercely and that love continues in all of us who knew her. May Liam, her beautiful boys and her loving family hold her close as they move through this tragic moment."
Demi Moore has also paid her respects in a message on her Twitter.com message board.
She writes, "I am sending out prayers for Natasha Richardson and her family. A real reminder of how precious life is and how quickly it can be gone."
And another tribute has come in from Mia Farrow, who has revealed the late actress was godmother to two of her adopted kids.
Farrow, who appeared in Widow's Peak with Richardson, tells WENN, "Tasha is irreplaceable. I cannot think of anyone kinder, more generous, thoughtful, smarter or more fun.
"She is the godmother of two of my children. The Neesons... have always made me feel a part of their wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers are with them."
Richardson passed away after suffering a brain injury in a fall while taking skiing lessons in Montreal, Canada on Monday.

I have a number of regrets about missed theater opportunities — the biggest are that I missed Cherry Jones in Doubt and Natasha Richardson in Cabaret.
Richardson won the Tony Award for her portrayal of Sally Bowles in the 1998 revival and was widely lauded for her success at re-imagining a role so thoroughly associated with Liza Minnelli. But Richardson — who died tragically and unexpectedly last night from a head injury incurred the day before — continually lived up to the standards set by the Redgraves/Richardsons, her theater-royalty family.
And she distinguished herself time and time again onstage and on-screen.
I’m a little caught off-guard by how sad I am at her untimely death. I certainly had no personal connection to Natasha Richardson — the closest I get is a friend who once briefly worked with her and recalls the experience as “memorable.” I suppose it’s largely the shock of someone

Natasha Richardson has lost her fight for life following a skiing accident on Monday. The actress, best known for roles in The Handmaid's Tale and The White Countess, fell and hurt her head on a ski slope and slipped into a coma shortly afterwards. She leaves behind husband Liam Neeson and two sons.Richardson was the scion of an acting dynasty, the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson and granddaughter of Sir Michael Redgrave. While such a family pedigree put pressure on the young Natasha, she proved time and again, on stage and on screen, that she had inherited her family's talent. She met Neeson while appearing opposite him on Broadway, and married him in the same year that they filmed Nell together, with Jodie Foster. Our thoughts go out to her family following this sudden and tragic death.

Actress Natasha Richardson, reportedly in serious condition with head trauma in a Montréal hospital after a ski accident Monday at Mont Tremblant, was walking around and feeling fine for an hour after her accident, a spokesperson from the ski resort says.
"She was laughing and joking and she walked to her room on her own," Mont Tremblant spokesperson Catherine Lacasse says.
The British-born Richardson, 45, was not wearing a ski helmet when she was taking a private ski lesson on the Nansen, a beginners' run at Mont Tremblant. When she was near the bottom of the run in a section know as the flats, she fell down. According to the spokeswoman, Richardson did not hit anyone or anything before coming to a stop.
"She was accompanied by an experienced ski instructor who immediately called the ski patrol," according to a statement from the resort.Lacasse tells People that there were no cuts, bleeding or other external signs of injury. Ski patrollers assisted Richardson and helped her to her room. She was not put on a stretcher.
About an hour after the fall, Richardson started complaining of headaches. She went to a nearby hospital and was later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of Sacré Coeur Hospital. (A spokesperson for the hospital would not confirm or deny that Richardson was a patient there.)
According to AccessHollywoood.com, her husband, actor Liam Neeson, 56, was filming the movie Chloe in Toronto when he got the news and rushed to be by Richardson's side.
Richardson, who appeared in The Parent Trap, Maid in Manhattan and Nell has been married to Neeson since 1994. They have two sons, Micheal Richard Antonio, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12.

When Tariq Khan makes a bold Oscar prediction, take heed. He's one of the savviest Oscarologists I know and this year he's going where no other guru dares: out onto a thin, shaky limb for Amy Adams ("Doubt") for supporting actress. Interesting call! That category, after all, is where most Oscar upsets happen.
Tariq has one of the best Oscar prediction rates every year. Check out the forecasts he made last year for Fox News — he scored 100%. Earlier this derby season he was one of the first pundits warning us that Kate Winslet might be nommed for "The Reader" instead of "Revolutionary Road."
Below, Tariq makes his argument for Amy Adams, building his Oscar case carefully by citing past award trends and issues at play this year. I dare to disagree with him, though. I think the two points he's not giving enough due are the Babe Factor and the fact that,
