I must confess that I have never been a big fan of Rik Mayall, but I am of Helena Bonham Carter, so I started to watch this to see how two supposed opposites would work together.
What I found was a surprisingly enjoyable comedy, with Rik Mayall turning in a good, surprisingly reserved performance.
Like "Staggered" with Martin Clunes, this film follows a Stag Night prank which leaves Mayall stranded on a train heading North with no money and the only companion being the stripper from the stag night, played by Bonham Carter.
The film is predictable enough but Bonham Carter brings a depth to her character which lifts the quality of the whole production, and leaves it as a good film to just wind down to after a busy day.
