Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

A man and a woman sitting on a couch start kissing passionately. The next morning they wake up nude in bed together, though both are covered by sheets - nothing much is shown.

A woman talks about lesbianism, prostitution is mentioned - nothing above a PG-13 rating.

Violence & Gore

The opening scene depicts a murder; a lot of blood is shown.

Murders are mentioned.

A room is shown with blood splattered on the walls and a severed hand is lying on the floor; very graphic.

A woman is brought up dead from a lake/river.

It's about Jack the Ripper, so quite a bit of talk of violence and murder.

Profanity

Mild. 1 S$#t, a few d$!ns. Not rough at all.

A woman is shown drunk. People drink wine in a civilized way.

The opening scene is suspenseful. Throughout the movie there is a ticking clock for HG Wells to get Jack the Ripper back to the past. The ending scene has quite a bit of tension.

The murders are all gruesome and shocking. NOT for young children.
