• In the scene where H.G. Wells and Amy Robbins are having dinner at a restaurant he mentions having been to a Irish pub called "McDonald's." On the Region 1 DVD, the name of the pub is dubbed over to be "MacDougal's," ruining the joke.
  
  
• The theatrical version includes a scene where H.G. Wells goes to a McDonald's. He places an order by mimicking the man in line ahead of him. When he tries french fries for the first time he declares that "French fries are pommes frites!" This scene in not on the Region 1 DVD.
