Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

During the scene where the whole group is crammed into an extremely small room, Mrs. Teevee yells "SOMEBODY'S TOUCHING ME!!". At this moment, Joe is right behind her. It is implied that Joe tried to cop a feel on Mrs. Teevee during the chaos. This may go unnoticed though.

Violence & Gore

None

Profanity

1 use of hell.

Mr. Salt uses some British profanity, "bleeding" and "flipping".

No smoking but the grandfather talks about using tobacco (we never see him use it before he gives it up due to poverty)

One of the confections being made in the inventing room is called "Butterscotch/Buttergin". Wonka says "Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker."

The boat ride scene may be inappropriate for small children. It includes several scenes of disturbing images and violence, including chicken decapitation, millipedes crawling on faces, and the like.

When Slugworth approaches the Golden Ticket winners, he is accompanied by creepy music; he also blocks Charlie's path in a tunnel.

Wonka scolds Grandpa Joe and Charlie for "breaking the rules".
