I must have gotten my PS2 when I was in the 3rd or so grade, and this was one of the first games I remember playing aside from Spyro and a cluster of Simpsons related video games. Mature games for a 9 year old? That's almost unheard of! But when I played I remember being so entranced by the impressive 80s soundtrack and if it wasn't that, then the comedy of the radio station VCPR (to where I remember spending hours just having that radio station on just to hear the talk show) more than the missions with the game. But that's not to say they weren't good or appealing.
As I got older, I was more interested in the missions and all the twists than I was making fun of Maurice Chavez's guests. The missions are fun, getting points for extreme stunts was amazing and exploring the area was always a blast.
Vice City is, and always will be, my favorite GTA game.
9/10
