The CBS soap Bold and the Beautiful is set to spin viewers into a whirl of love triangles. With the potential for three unfolding simultaneously. The showrunner, Brad Bell could be steering the storyline towards the complicated relations. This may be involving characters like Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz), Rj Forrester (Joshua Hoffman). Also, Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada), and Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), stirring up the drama.
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Poppy Nozawa’s late-night sofa rendezvous sparks rumors of Luna’s paternity. Also, with Katie Logan (Heather Tom) hovering nearby on Bold and the Beautiful. B&b has shocked fans by resurrecting a recently deceased character. This was something that seemed like it might happen. Yet, it was doubtful it would occur so quickly after the character’s demise. So, who is it and how are they making this happen? Keep reading for more details.
B&b Shocks With Dead Character Resurrection
Soap operas are notorious for bringing characters back from the dead. General Hospital did that last month with Steve Burton’s infamous Jason Morgan. Burton was let go in 2021 for not following the network’s vaccine mandate. However, after time went by and his time was up on Days of Our Lives, fans hoped he would return to Port Charles. Sure enough, he did but his character had been killed in a tunnel collapse. Luckily, Jason Morgan was given a whole back story to explain where he had been so it ended up making sense.

Kimberlin Brown is back on The Bold and the Beautiful as the beloved villain Sheila and she’s opening up about her big return.
It was previously revealed a few weeks ago that Sheila Carter is alive, despite it being presumed that she was killed by Steffy.
So, how did we learn Sheila wasn’t killed?
It all happened as the body of the deceased woman was being sent to the crematorium. Deacon went to say his goodbyes to Sheila and he noticed that the body has all ten toes… and Sheila only has nine toes. She had cut one of her toes off years ago to convince people she had been attacked by a bear.
Kimberlin is now commenting on her return to the show!

Spoiler Alert! This story contains a major plot point that was revealed on the April 29 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.
Exclusive: Talk about a major do-over on the CBS daytime drama.
On the April 29 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, fans learned that a character they loved to hate isn’t really dead after all.
The villainous Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), who was supposedly killed off two months ago on the CBS daytime drama, is actually alive and well.

More than a week since CBS shocked the entertainment industry with news that it is currently developing the first daytime drama series since the launch of “Passions” nearly 25 years ago, and the network’s first new soap opera since the launch of “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 1987, George Cheeks, president and CEO of CBS and chief content officer for news and sports at Paramount+, recently revealed how “The Gates” came to be and gave some insight on whether the show will be a 30-minute show or one-hour.
In a far-reaching interview with Vulture, Cheeks revealed that “The Gates” is real and that the show is being developed following conversations with Sheila Ducksworth, president of the CBS/NAACP Production Venture, which was established in 2020 to develop content for the CBS Television Network, as well as the ability to sell programming to third-party platforms across the media landscape with an emphasis...

On Wednesday, CBS Studios and NAACP Venture announced “The Gates,” an all-new daytime drama series currently being developed for CBS that follows the lives of a wealthy Black family in a posh, gated community. Veteran soap scribe Michele Val Jean will be spearheading the potential series where she is set up as writer, showrunner and executive producer alongside executive producers Sheila Ducksworth, Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson and Kimberly Doebereiner.
In her first official statement since the news was announced, Val Jean took to X (formerly Twitter) and said, “I’m so profoundly touched by the overwhelmingly positive response to #TheGates. After more than 30 years portraying Sheila Carter on both “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful,” actress Kimberlin Brown saw her villainess character meet her maker earlier this week when Sheila was stabbed to death by daughter-in-law Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
With the character now “dead,” Brown reveals in an all-new exit interview with TV Insider that she’s open to returning to daytime in another role, whether on her former soaps as a new character or even a new role on “Days of our Lives” or “General Hospital.”
“I would absolutely be open to a daytime return,” declared Brown to “Soap Dish” columnist Stephanie Sloane. “This is my happy place. This is where I have really been thriving the last couple of years. It took me 62 years to find myself and I finally found myself and this is what makes me happy.”

Some actors just won’t stop until things are perfect. On The Bold and the Beautiful, Don Diamont is a perfect example of this, knowing that his scenes have to be enticing to viewers and in order to accomplish just that, lines must be read in a specific way. Here is why Diamont had Clifton reshoot their first scenes together on The Bold and the Beautiful.

The daytime veteran explained to TV Insider, “This was at the request of Brad Bell [executive producer/head writer]. The actor is no stranger to soaps. Far from it. He got his start on “Guiding Light,” where he earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Younger Actor in 1986 for playing Lujack Luvonoczek. After that character was killed off he spent a couple of years on “Santa Barbara” before returning to “Gl” as Lujack’s twin brother Nick from 1991 to 1996.

"I just wanna let you all know: your girl is pregnant!" she yelled. "I am pregnant!"
Bold and the Beautiful executive producer and head writer Brad Bell was given a head's up.
"She told me about a month ago, and she told me in person [and] came up to my office," he told Et. "I'm thrilled. I'm a father of four kids myself, and she's just fallen in love with her husband and now she's falling in love again with a child.
The scene called for the actress to walk down the catwalk in skimpy lingerie, which MacInnes Wood thought would be the most bold -- and beautiful -- way to announce her pregnancy.

Hey, "Bold And The Beautiful" fans. We've got some pretty shocking news for you guys today. It turns out that one of the show's former leading males has fallen on some pretty hard times as of late which has led to multiple arrests for being drunk out of his freaking mind! The person we're talking about is former Thorne Forrester portrayer Winsor Harmon. That's right guys. According to a recent report from the folks over at TMZ and some other sources, Winsor has been busted two times so far in the past three months for being heavily intoxicated. One of the arrests happened in early May 2018 when the police were called to the scene to check on reports of a man sleeping in his car in a suburb of the San Fernando Valley. When the cops got there, they found Winsor sleeping in his SUV. TMZ's sources went on to...

“The Bold and the Beautiful” star Jacob Young has moved from contract status at the CBS soap to a recurring role.
“I had been talking with my management and my team about this for awhile, and it’s almost as if I kind of manifested it maybe because it felt like it was running its course,” Young tells Variety exclusively about his role as Rick Forrester.
Young shares that the character is “incredibly important” to him, as well as the show, so while he is no longer with the show full time, he is glad to be able to still pop up “here and there.”
“I’m very grateful for Brad Bell and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ — for their vision and having faith in me as an actor and in giving me all of the story that they have over the years,” Young says.

According to a new report from the folks over at Soapcentral, the Bold and The Beautiful crew is currently recasting a pretty popular main male character with former General Hospital Jasper "Jax" Jacks star Ingo Rademacher (above). He's being brought on to play character Thorne Forrester. Apparently, he was in the running against former Thorne actor Winsor Harmon. Winsor recently hopped on his official Twitter account to reveal that he had been replaced. He said that The Bold And The Beautiful executive producer/head writer Bradley Bell told him that they had decided to recast Thorne. This apparently didn't go over well with a lot of fans since Winsor had been playing the Thorne role since 1996. Winsor wrote, "Just spoke with Brad Bell and at this time he's decided to Recast Thorne. I wish the new actor and the show continued success." Rademacher talked to TVInsider.com about his Thorne...

According to a recent report from soapcentral, Rome Flynn (above) who plays character Zende Forrester on CBS’ hit soap opera “The Bold And The Beautiful” has decided to not renew his contract which means he’s quitting the show! They say he made his very serious announcement during a live Instagram video. They also pointed out that a spokesperson for the show confirmed the news by saying, “Rome Flynn has decided not to renew his contract. He has been a valued member of the B&B family, and we wish him much success in all of his future endeavors." Flynn has apparently decided to quit due to obligations on another soap opera he joined that’s airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network. It’s called, “The Haves and the Have Nots.” It’s produced by Tyler Perry. Flynn released a statement about it. However, at the time, he said it...

Bob Barker, the former host of "The Price is Right," brings his animal advocacy to a whole new level in this clip from "The Bold and the Beautiful." Barker, who became a vegetarian in 1979, always signed off each show reminding viewers to spay and neuter pets; he's also donated millions of dollars to various advocacy groups and programs, including $5 million to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society for an anti-whaling ship.
The nonagenarian lands quite a few punches on Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) after hearing Wyatt talk smack about animal lovers - but not before advising the young man to consider adopting a pet himself. Barker told TV Guide, "CBS and ['B&B' exec producer] Brad Bell have been incredible about using the soap to increase awareness. And if I get a chance to punch out a guy who thinks animal lovers are stupid wackos, even better!" Hey, Wyatt's got a pretty punchable face.

Husbands – CW Seed
Last year The CW launched an online distribution platform called CW Seed. As the name implies, this online-only channel was intended to operate as a seeder pipeline. Web series could be produced relatively inexpensively and popular shows with proven concepts could be drafted up to the majors by landing a spot on The CW itself.
CW kicked off their online channel with four projects. One of of those was Husbands, created by Brad Bell and Jane Espenson, a show we’ve written a lot about here at TheBacklot. Another web series was called Backpackers.
Backpackers – CW
The seeder system seems to be working because Variety today reported that CW has promoted its first web series from CW Seed to the main network. They’ve bypassed the pilot process and ordered 12 TV episodes of Backpackers. That is great news for Backpackers, but it’s curious that CW Seed...

In comics news this week, Bill Watterson, the creator of Calvin & Hobbes, won the prestigious Angoulême Grand Prix (a kind of lifetime achievement award) at the biggest comic convention in the world, the Angoulême International Comics Festival. The famously reclusive comics creator was not in attendance but the award is the second time an American has won, the last being Art Spiegelman, the creator of Maus, who won 2 years ago. Calvin & Hobbes ended in 1996 but Watterson’s anti-commercial artistic integrity and the quality of his work has won him many admirers and the strip continues to be popular to this day.

I recently had the opportunity to interview Jane Espenson and Brad Bell about their new web series Husbands. They also shared their insights about Buffy, writing, and what makes a series pop.
FEARnet: How did Husbands get started?
Jane Espenson (Je): It got started because Brad had an idea. He's a young writer I really admire, and I really respect his ideas. He had this idea about doing a new sitcom for the marriage-equality age, and that's worth doing.
FEARnet: I was reading a bit about that and wondered if, as the creators, you faced any of the same controversy that your characters face in some of the episodes?
Je: Not so much, people are really loving it. (To Brad) I think in your life you faced some of that.
Brad Bell (Bb): Not specifically about Husbands, but the other day I saw some comment online and it was something like,...

A couple of years ago, I was wandering around San Diego Comic-Con when I stumbled across a signing going on at the California Browncoats table. There sat Jane Espenson - writer for wonderful treats like Buffy, Battlestar Galactica, Torchwood, and Once Upon a Time - with two young men. I sidled up to one of the guys and asked what the signing was for. Husbands, he told me, a webseries comedy about marriage equality.
The three of them agreed to an interview (how could I pass up an opportunity to interview Espenson on one of her new projects?) and we talked about their plans for the show they were just about to shoot. Set just after marriage equality becomes law across the entire United States (and thus still,...

The CW has long had a significant presence in the world of original web series, and its latest project will increase its involvement in the online video. The TV network has launched CW Seed, an online-only studio and distribution platform.
