Trivia:
Originally, Joss Whedon wanted to bring in composer Greg Edmonson (who had scored the TV series) to score the movie, but when he couldn't, he brought in composer Carter Burwell. After discussing the movie and submitting some music demos, Burwell amicably left the project due to differing opinions with Whedon. After that, music executives at Universal insisted that Whedon hire a more familiar composer and eventually David Newman was brought on to score the movie.

Goofs:
Revealing mistakes: When the Serenity is hit by the Reaver's EMP and begins to crash onto Mr. Universe's planet, Wash strains against the force of rotation while he reaches for a panel of buttons on his console. Not only does he change where he is reaching for, when his hand hits the panel the entire panel moves: it was made of cardboard.

When Firefly was canceled, a small part of me died. With Serenity, I'm feeling wonderfully whole again. Serenity is a grand, sweeping finale to Firefly and with any luck, the beginning of a new film franchise. Like Firefly, Serenity just plain rocks. Intense storytelling, amazing visuals, sharp-as-a-tack dialog and the prettiest darned crew ya ever seen. These are Big Damned Heroes for sure! The Operative is a fantastic new character in this wonderful verse. Serenity answers many of Firefly's lingering questions while leaving others wide open for the next adventure. And I for one can't wait for that. Watch Firefly, see Serenity, tell your friends. Lather, rinse, repeat. Any questions? Shiny.
