Director Josh Eisenstadt (Dark Reel) firmly states that this film is not a horror film and instead Spreading Darkness is more psychological thriller. The first teaser does show one man, Stu (Eric Roberts), under some distress, while he talks about being followed, or stalked to another character, Mark (James Duval). His torment is heightened as his dead wife (Tara Cardinal) beckons him from the grave. Have a look at the first clip for this film below, with more details to follow.
The synopsis for the film, courtesy of the Coventry Telegraph:
"Spreading Darkness is a dark psychological thriller about Stu Undercoffler (Roberts), a man who seems to have it all. That is, until the people he took it from decide they want it back. Stu seems to have it under control, but then visions of his dead wife (Cardinal) become more and more real" (Coventry).
Release Date: 2011.
Director: Josh Eisenstadt.

A pair of upcoming symposia on fright filmmaking and scripting will offer California residents a chance to find out how to get into the genre business, or just listen to their favorite filmmakers dish about the craft. The first takes place Saturday, October 17, when the Los Angeles Screenwriting Expo will be hosting a Horror Writing Panel.
The event, which takes place at the Wilshire Grand Hotel (930 Wilshire Boulevard) from 2-3:30 p.m. on the 17th, features a lineup of exciting fear filmmakers: The House Of The Devil’s Ti West (pictured), Adam Green of Hatchet and the upcoming Frozen, Abominable’s Ryan Schifrin and Eduardo Sanchez, co-creator of The Blair Witch Project whose new Seventh Moon hits DVD this week from Lionsgate. They’ll speak in depth about the craft of creating a successful horror screenplay—and the best part is, it’s only $6. For more info, click here.
