Artist Jeff Victor created wonderful Carrie Fisher tribute art that features cartoon-style Princess Leia Evolution. As you can see, it only focuses on the films of the original trilogy. The art came along with the following note:
"Heartbroken. Carrie Fisher, my favorite princess, has become one with the Force. Rip"
There have been so many wonderful tributes made for Fisher since her passing. One of my favorites came from Warwick Davis, which I included below:
Princess Leia, @carrieffisher now one with the Force. Your kindness & sharp wit will be missed. #Rip Ps: Thanks for the milk & cookies. xx pic.twitter.com/sFSy9UmvYY

Hey guys! Jeff Victor created a couple new pieces for his ongoing “Evolution” art series! These represent some of the famous movie characters played by Harrison Ford and Samuel L. Jackson. I’ll also use this as an opportunity to tell you that Victor has started a Kickstarter campaign for his awesome new art book, Adorkable, that is a must own if you're a fan of his stuff. If you want to donate and help him out, click here.
For the Harrison Ford piece above, Victor says:
“This one is of one of my favorite actors of all time- Harrison Ford. His portrayals of Han Solo and Indiana Jones are legendary, but he's also an accomplished dramatic actor in such films as Witness and the Fugitive. I tried to give a good overview of his career, choosing his most iconic roles. Which is your favorite Harrison Ford movie? Lemme know in the comments!

We’re fans of fantastic pop culture art, and Jeff Victor is one of those artists that we’ve featured several times before. One of Victor’s trademarks is creation “Evolutions” of characters or actors, but he’s also been putting together a collection of pop culture characters that he’s been calling “Bubbleheads” because they have giant heads and […]

Artist Jeff Victor has released his first illustration in 2015 and it is a cartoon-style evolution of Russell Crowe and the movies he's made over the years. Crowe is a solid actor that has played some great characters. Two of my all-time favorite films that he's been in are Gladiator and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. I'm also really happy to see that the artist included his character from Romper Stomper, a film you should see if you haven't already. Here's a note from the artist:

In the spirit of Halloween, artist Jeff Victor created a new "Evolution" art character series. In his signature style he gives us several vampires that we've seen in the movies over the years. I've been a huge fan of vampires since I was a kid. I even did a Growing Up Geek editorial on it. I've always thought the creepiest vampire ever was in Nosferatu, I have yet to see a vampire beat that. Here's what Jeff had to say about his piece:
"Happy Halloween everyone! For a spooky treat, I wanted to track the progression of how vampires have evolved in films from the terrifyingly ratlike Nosferatu to the near-superhero Dracula of this year's Dracula Untold. Vampires have often bounced between comedy and horror, and I tried to represent as many different iterations of this as possible. How did I do? Which movie vampires would you have included?"

Artist Jeff Victor has created another fantastic piece of cartoon style "evolution" art. This time he puts the focus on Catwoman and gives us the different iterations of the character that we've seen over the years on TV and film. Here's a note from the artist:

This extraordinary piece of Robin Williams tribute art was created by Jeff Victor. It features cartoon versions of several characters that Williams has portrayed over the the years in TV and film. The artist shared his thoughts about Williams in the statement below.
"My tribute to the illustrious career of Robin Williams. Obviously, there are many, many more movies that could be included in this piece, but I tried to represent as many highlights as I could. This particular Evolution was quite emotional to draw. Williams' work was so meaningful to me, and a big part of my childhood. His death is a loss for us all. I'm not very eloquent at eulogizing, so hopefully my art will speak for itself and remind you of the joy you felt watching his films.
"I am selling this piece as a print here, and for every copy I sell, I am donating $5.00 to the St.

Artist Jeff Victor created this humorous piece of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle art. It features the classic Ninja Turtle design that most of us love facing Michael Bay's version of the characters. Here's what the artist had to say about the new turtle designs and the illustration he made:
"A piece done for the "Heroes in a Half Shell" exhibit opening in 2 days at Gallery Nucleus. Maybe it's just me, but the over designed Michael Bay turtles have none of the charm and warmth of the originals, and that makes me kinda sad. I haven't seen the movie yet, but judging how much I hate the new Transformers movies, I doubt I'll enjoy this one.
"Griping aside, the 30th anniversary of the Turtles Is pretty exciting, and Nucleus has a great show to celebrate this historic milestone. If you're in the La area, check it out! It looks amazing,...

As a tribute to the 25th anniversary of Tim Burton's Batman, artist Jeff Victor created this fun and whacky illustration of Batman and Joker. This is what the artist had to say about it:
"Wow, I simply can't believe it's been 25 years since Tim Burton's Batman flick came out. I remember it had a massive impact on me at the time, to say the least. It got me heavily interested in superhero toys and comic books, which I still love to this day. While I adored the Superman films, this one hit at just the right time in my adolescent development, as I started to crave something a little more mature than Adam West and Burt Ward's antics. I couldn't let the day go by without acknowledging this milestone somehow."...

Artist Jeff Victor has created another fantastic piece of cartoon style evolution tribute art for a pop culture icon. This time it's Bryan Cranston's Walter White from the incredible series Breaking Bad, and it shows us the evolution of the character's descent into villainy. Here's a note from the artist,

Over the years, we've featured many pieces of movie character art from Jeff Victor. The guy has a great, fun style. I've especially enjoyed his Evolution series in which he takes an actor or pop culture figure and gives them a cartoon style rundown of the characters they've played in films over the year.

You probably know artist Jeff Victor from his Cartoon Style Evolution series of character art that pays tribute to the careers of various actors. This time he sets his focus on the moviegoing experience itself, the Bad experiences to be specific. Here is Jeff's explanation of the piece:
This isn't representative of one instance, but an amalgam of the many times I go out to the movie theaters in La. For a city that is the most closely associated with Hollywood and film, theater goers here are very often incredibly disrespectful and can't seem to watch a movie without texting, chatting, or any number of annoying activities. As a film buff, it's incredibly sad to see the theater is no longer the sacred ground it used to be. Now it just seems people can barely tear themselves away from their phones for two hours. In addition to the ever-escalating prices,...

Artist Jeff Victor has created another one of his fun cartoon evolution actor tributes. This time he set his sights on one of the greatest action stars ever, Arnold Schwarzenegger. This guy has made some amazing films, and I hope we start seeing him make more good movies soon! Here's a note from the artist:
As a young teen growing up in the 90's there was no better action star than Arnie. It seemed, (at least until Last Action Hero) he made one killer movie after another. He made so many great action films, I couldn't include them all, but I tried to hit the highlights. Which is your favorite Schwarzenegger movie?

Hey guys, this year marks the 75th birthday of one of the first, and certainly most influential superheroes of all time. It's no exaggeration when I say I've been a life long Superman fan. I watched the first two Christopher Reeve movies again and again as a kid, and knew them nearly verbatim. My parents got me a set of Superman Underoos (if you remember those things), which I wore under my clothes to hide my "secret identity". I even carried my Kenner Superman action figure everywhere I went.

Drawing out the circuit, he and his friends Wolfgang and Darren set it up, and discover they have been given the basis for a starship. Artist Jeff Victor created this piece of movie geek art that imagines what Sloth and Chunk from The Goonies would look like 28 years later. It's hard to believe it's been that long since The Goonies was released in theaters. Here's a little note from the artist,
So, whatever happened to Sloth? I figure he and Chunk are off somewhere living happily together.
What do you think happened to Sloth and Chunk? Do you think Chunk's parents really took Sloth into their home and took care of him? I'm surprised they never made a spinoff TV sitcom of what that might be like! That could be a hilarious show!

Like him or not, Nicolas Cage is one of the biggest movie stars working in Hollywood. He's really not a bad actor, the guy just keeps choosing really crappy film projects for some reason. I guess he just needs the money to support his lifestyle, or he's an acting work horse that takes whatever movie he's offered. Jeff Victor created this fun piece of cartoon style tribute art for the actor, and here's what he had to say...

It seems like it's been a long time since Tim Curry has done anything memorable, but he's made a lot of awesome films in his career and has played some fantastic characters. Artist Jeff Victor has added Curry to his collection of Cartoon style evolution illustrations.
If it's been a while since you thought about what a badass actor Tim Curry is, here is your reminder. I love this guy. He hasn't done that many movies recently- he's now doing a ton of television, theater and voice over work, but jeez, what a talent. His performance of Pennywise in It left me permanently afraid of clowns. (In case you were wondering, 1993 is actually an episode of Tales from the Crypt, where he played each member of a murderous family.) What's your favorite Tim Curry performance? Clue? Congo? The Wild Thornberrys?
Who's your favorite movie character that Curry has played in his career?...

I've really been enjoying Jeff Victor's "Evolution of" movie art series. His latest illustration focuses on the great Gary Oldman, who's always been awesome in the movies he's made, and hopefully he'll continue to make great films!
When you think of amazing character actors, one leaps to the top of the pack: Gary Oldman. Incredibly versatile, he is utterly convincing in whatever role he plays. The late 80's/early 90's were an especially ripe period where he zig-zagged from playing Sid Vicious to Lee Harvey Oswald to Dracula to nearly stealing the show in his few minutes of screen time as a drug dealing pimp in True Romance. In the late 90's he was well known for his villainous roles, but in the 2000's, he endeared himself to a new generation of fans by playing both Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films, and Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy.

It looks like director Guillermo del Toro is finally going to make more films for us, and it's all going to start with Pacific Rim. Here's an awesome piece of fan art for the film created by Jeff Victor called "As You Wish...," and it features the characters Westley and Buttercup about to take on some Rodents of Unusual Size in the Fire Swamp. Here's a note from the artist,
A tribute to one of my favorite movies, The Princess Bride. Doing these tribute pieces is a good way to try and improve at digital painting. I included screenshots of my process below. I thought it would be fun to give this one a slight Tangled vibe, since Princess Buttercup could, in another life perhaps, have been a Disney princess.
Do you like it?! What's your favorite scene from the film?...

Charlize Theron has a good mix of different kinds of films under her belt. She's a talented actress with range that can really pull off anything she wants. I thought her recent performance in Snow White and the Huntsman was one of the best of the year, unfortunately the movie sucked ass.
As a tribute to the actress and her career artist Jeff Victor created these cartoon style illustrations of several of the characters that she's played over the years. Here's what he had this to say about it,
One of my favorite actresses has to be Charlize Theron. Obviously I didn't include every one of her memorable roles, but I tried to choose some of her most iconic ones. Who could have predicted the icy blond temptress cat-fighting with Teri Hatcher in 2 Days in the Valley would be in a few short years, become one of the most acclaimed...

Director Stanely Kubrick made some incredible films in his career, and here's a wonderful cartoon style illustration that pays tribute to the director and several of the films that he made. The piece was created by artist Jeff Victor who had this to say about it,
My newest evolution is is a little different. It's a tribute to some of the best films by legendary director Stanley Kubrick. I recently saw the Lacma exhibit of Kubrick's films here in La, and it was stunning. The original props, the annotated screenplays, his original director's chair- what a treasure trove of film geek goodies!
I've enjoyed all of the films that Kubrick has made, but if I had to choose only one as my favorite, it would have to be The Shining, which is one of my favorite horror films of all time. What would you say your favorite Kubrick film is?...

Tom Hanks is definitely on my list of favorite actors of all time. The guy has made some incredible movies in his career, and I'd like to see him continue to make more of them. Hopefully he'll start taking on more bigger and better roles. I thought he was great in Cloud Atlas, and one of the movies I'm looking forward to seeing most that he's attached to is a big screen adaptation of the 1960's toy Major Matt Mason. Hopefully that goes into production sometime in the near future.
As a tribute to the actor, artist Jeff Victor has drawn this great cartoon evolution of ten characters that Hanks has played over the years. Here's a note from the artist...
Who doesn't love Tom Hanks? The guy is a national treasure. I had the pleasure of working with him once (briefly), and I can honestly tell you, I thought...

I love this piece of art the features Wonder Woman pumping iron on Muscle Beach as Batman, Superman and Green Lantern stare mesmerized by her muscular physique. I imagine they just realized they really need to get into shape. If you notice they're all a little bit out of shape, especially with those skinny ass legs. I also think Batman's chest hair is hilarious!

Meet Jeff Victor. Jeff's an artist and animator who's worked for everyone from Warner Brothers to Universal Sudios. These days, in addition to his freelance illustration work, Jeff's a full-time designer for Nickelodeon Games. He also has a blog on which, every Sunday, he posts the latest installment of Classic of Crap, his cartoon tribute to some of the worst movies of all time. Jeff's celebrated famous stinkers like Batman and Robin and Showgirls, and plenty of exploitation fare like Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS. Of course he's also featured some notoriously so-bad-they're-awesome horror movies. Check out a few of them after the jump. If you like what you see below, be sure to check out more...

Jeff Victor is an artist for Nickelodeon who has an awesome taste in terrible movies, and some awesome artwork to boot. These are a couple of his works that accompany his Classics of Crap collection on his blog. I decided to highlight some of the ones you may be more familiar with...without the titles. See if you can guess them all!
