As far as porn goes, it was great. I don't think anyone will say differently. It's just so ridiculously hilarious. I love how half way through the film, Evan Stone turns into a clueless Captain Kirk. And they ask SO much of the audience. A girl gets kidnapped, she's tied to a chair, forced to have sex with a gypsy, and ends up liking it. I can follow that, no problem. But there's a scene where the captain and his first mate are tied up in a room that's on fire. Then a woman from a previous scene comes in and says that she'll only untie them if the captain makes love to her. So she unties him and he "makes love". Hello? Punch the crazy broad in the face and get out of the building. You don't have time for a sex scene. But there were a few good parts. Take when anyone is about to get it on. There's a little kissing, and BAM! There's a screen push and they're naked. And probably my favorite part, the amount of violence in the girl/girl scenes. At one point I thought it had turned into Ultamite Fighter. And there was another point were some candles are used in a way that I never really thought of before. All in all, you need to see this. I mean, how often do you get to see a porno with a seven figure budget?

What are you people talking about? How snobbish about films must you be to hate this movie? This was a very well made, funny, and surprisingly well acted film. And I really liked the Super Troopers references. I think that Willy Nelson did a great job as Uncle Jesse and I appreciated the end with Joe Don Baker and the "smokehouse" scene. Burt Reynolds was THE best man for Boss Hogg. He just seemed to ooze the corruption of a southern aristocrat. And he looks good in a white suit. Speaking of looking good, Jessica FREAKIN Simpson is so FREAKIN hot in this movie! And even though I don't think the shorts were short enough, I was wrong about her being a bad choice. She brought all the sexiness and lustful curves that Daisy deserved. All in all, very good and I think if you're not some stuck up purist, you should see this movie.

I have walked by this movie in the cult section of my store many times and just recently I made the bold move of watching it. I couldn't believe I had never seen it before! Gary Oldman is brilliant in this movie and I was surprised at James Marsden as well. I guess the overall reason that I love this is that it exists in a truly unique genre, that of the existentialist cinema. It gets to join films like Donnie Darko, I Heart Huckabees, and Dead Man. Every time someone comes into my store looking for something that's more than a little "off-beat" I point them in the direction of this movie. All in all I gave this movie a nine out of ten because, while it was a brilliant movie, there's always room for improvement.
