Honey, you're only a few years younger. If she's 100 you're 96. This stupid "comedy" was one of the worst on TV. I don't understand how it made it 6 seasons? I find absolutely nothing funny about this joke of a show. I know this review will probably make some people mad but I'm glad they don't rerun this show very much. It was 6 seasons of boring and cringing. Thank goodness CBS had Mike and Molly, otherwise CBS wouldn't have had any real hits in the comedy department at the time. Quite frankly, there were many cancelled shows I think were funnier. Since I'm inclined to say a little more here, let me just end with saying this doesn't even deserve 1 star.

The Golden Girls is about four older women who prove that life does not end when you reach a certain age. The show remains a hit 30 years after it originally ended its prime time run. While there are a few episodes I don't care for, most episodes I can watch again and again and they never get old....just like the girls.

First off, most Christians don't hate. Christianity doesn't preach hate. We may hate what people do, but we don't hate.
I give this documentary a few more stars because it was more of a crime documentary than a Christianity vs atheism one. Madalyn Murray O'hair was an evil person to be sure. It's been documented how evil she was. How she swindled people, stole from people, knowingly hired unrepentant murderers and child molesters to work for her organization. Despite how much O'hair tried to make Christianity out to be evil, it was one of her own who killed her and her family.
O'hair also tried to move to the Soviet Union because of their inhumane state atheism, where practicing Religion was a crime and could get you anything from prison time to even the death penalty (depending on the dictator), but in the end even they didn't want her. I don't doubt for a minute that if O'hair had been given full power over the United States she would have made it like the Soviet Union (probably more like Stalin's version than any of the other leaders). I just hope she had a change of heart before she went to her judgment.

This "Karen" thing has been dragged too far. It's sexist, ageist, racist and hypocritical. Thankfully this movie was panned as it deserved, but the stereotype still exists. On a side note, it's time to drop the "m" word....as in "middle age." Forty this day in age is not middle age. We need to get rid of these ageist stereotypes as much as we need to do the others.

Mama's Family was one of my favorites as a kid. I could never get enough of short-tempered Mama and her goofy family. Still makes me laugh all these years later. I think the thing I liked the most about Mama though is deep down she really had a caring, heart of gold.

George Jefferson and Florence his maid rank right up there with the funniest TV characters of all time. The other characters on this show were great as well and all played off each other beautifully. In the 70s and 80s TV sitcom writing was smart and could deal with complicated issues without being too preachy and make us laugh at the same time. We could all learn to laugh again and stop being so PC. If you take life too seriously you never get to truly enjoy it.

All 9 seasons of AITF were great, even the later ones after Mike and Gloria left, I still found an episode or two that could make me laugh.

Great movie, but be aware this movie is more of a sequel to the original book than the 1939 classic.

If you plan on seeing this movie for the first time thinking it will be a sequel to the iconic 1939 film starring Judy Garland, you will be sorely disappointed (and you may even walk away traumatized). Without giving away spoilers for the first-timers, I will warn that there is no singing or dancing in this film and it has a much darker tone than the '39 film (with more elements of horror). This is due to the fact that this film is more of a sequel to the original Wizard of Oz book as written by L. Frank Baum than the MGM classic. Based on two books, The Marvelous Land of Oz and Ozma of Oz, written by Baum as sequels to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the only similarities RTO has with the Judy Garland film are the Ruby Slippers making an appearance (due to the public being more familiar with the RS than the Silver Shoes Dorothy wears in the book), and some characters have Kansas/Oz counterparts. While RTO bombed at the box office in 1985 (largely due to too many thinking it would be a sequel to the '39 film) it has become a cult classic in recent years (especially among horror and SciFi fans). This movie may be too scary for young children but for adults who enjoy fairytale-type movies with more thrill I think many of you won't be disappointed.

The late 90s and early 2000s was the last great era of television in my opinion and Becker was no exception.
This sitcom about a gruff doctor with a lack of bedside manner preceded similar shows like House and the similar British series Doc Martin.
Now don't l get me wrong, those latter shows were alright, but what I liked about Becker is that despite his gruff exterior he seems to genuinely care about issues, his patients, and those around him. The other characters on the show were also lovable and relatable in many ways.
The show to tackle issues like homophobia and racism all while attacking nonsense like political correctness (which is pretty much the norm for TV in 2020) and the sensationalist media.
Although I believe this show went a bit downhill after season 5 when they began replacing some of the main characters (and unfairly fired Terry Farrell), there were still enjoyable episodes and I think it could have gone on for a couple more seasons than it did.
But thankfully we have reruns to continue to enjoy great TV like this.

Who knew that a lot of elements in this movie from 1995 would be coming true in 2020 America.
Like the characters in this movie, many leftists in 2020 desire to eliminate from society those that don't fit their extreme viewpoints.
It isn't just right-wing extremists they want to eliminate from society anymore either, but anyone right of center. All in a desire to create some fictional fairy tale utopian socialist society envisioned by a mid 19th century delusional dreamer Karl Marx that cannot exist in the real world of human existence.
Some of these extremist types now actually occupy seats of power.
The presidential candidacy of Senator Bernie Sanders and the election to the U.S. congress of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and three fellow extremists who call themselves "the Squad", has pushed into society radical viewpoints that fit the extreme viewpoints of the characters in the Last Supper.
Recently, Ocasio-Cortez famously echoed a desire from other left-wing extremists to go after Trump supporters after he leaves office. That fits the Stalinist narrative reflected in the characters in this movie to eliminate opposition.
You also have other politicians like John Kerry (whom Biden just named as his "climate change" czar) who speak of of a desire to imprison those who deny climate change.
You have mobs of left-wing extremists like Antifa and BLM rioting in the streets and threatening to kill people who don't share their extreme viewpoints. Left wing politicians condone their behavior and often go after their victims rather than the perps.
You have Hollywood and far-left pundits all calling for the same types of things I have discussed.
While neither far-left nor far-right viewpoints benefit society, the viewpoints of far-left extremists have proven far more dangerous throughout history. Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol-Pot, Fidel Castro, Vladimir Lenin, oppressed and killed millions in the name of "social justice."
It's very scary that these things are right on America's doorstep in 2020.
Did this movie predict liberals in 2020? Well, it's looking more and more to be that way. The difference is, as I have explained, liberals today seek to eliminate everyone who doesn't share their viewpoints, not just the far-right. Anyone right of center or right-leaning who voted for Donald Trump are threatened.
The real leftist radicals today are far more threatening than this group of fictional characters from this little movie from 1995. There are no invitations being sent out with ulterior motives under the guise of dinner and debate, they are coming after people.

How many stars were truly not aware of what Harvey Weinstein was up to all of those years?? I guarantee you that most of Hollywood knew. It wasn't 100% secret even before it became publicly known. Actresses are often treated like cattle in Hollywood. Used and then cast aside when they reach a certain age like spoiled milk. This same industry that claims to be notoriously liberal is really anything but. So screw their misguided attempts to push woke activism on us.

I watched this movie today and thought it was great. I thought Marcil looked great. Her age didn't make any difference to me. She is playing a fictional character, not herself. So as the saying goes: haters gonna hate.

It was an alright movie. I am in between the other two reviewers on this movie. I thought the acting was a bit forced, but overall believable. I didn't have a problem with the actor being 26 playing 18 because it is acting. Actors in their 20s generally play teens in movies, and 18 is still a bit of an adolescent. Your brain and other parts actually keep developing well into your 20s.

The Itchy and Scratchy cartoon has become dull and boring because it is no longer featuring the cartoon violence that had made the show so popular with kids. This prompts Bart and Lisa to come up with a new script idea for the show and send it in to the show's writers. They come up with a really funny episode idea called "Barbershop of Horrors," where Itchy(as a barber)pours flesh-eating ants on Scratchy's head instead of cutting his hair The head of the studios where Itchy and Scratchy is made, receives Bart and Lisa's script, but throws it out when he sees that it was written by children.
After receiving a rejection letter from the Itchy and Scratchy studios, Bart and Lisa decide to put an adult's name on the script and send it back in. They decide to put Grandpa's name on the script thinking the producers of the show might take the script more seriously if they think it was written by an adult. This ends up working for them and the studio head decides to use the script for the next Itchy and Scratchy cartoon.
Bart and Lisa's script helps revive the the show's popularity and the studio asks for more scripts. As it was Grandpa's name used on the script, the studio tracks Grandpa down at the retirement home and offers him a large cash reward and a job as the head writer on the show. Soon, Grandpa ends up getting nominated for an Emmy award for Lisa and Bart's work, which Grandpa ends up winning, but Grandpa rejects the reward and gets booed off the stage.
Meanwhile, Homer and Marge go to their high school reunion where Homer becomes the laughing stock of the class when it is revealed that he never completed high school. Embarrassed, Homer decides to enroll in night school and get his diploma. That of course doesn't go too well for the goof ball Homer.

The episode starts off with Lisa and Bart's Itchy and Scratchy cartoon getting interrupted by news report about an oil spill along the coast. When Lisa sees the many marine animals being affected by the spill, it makes her want to go down there and help clean them. Lisa begs Marge to take her and she reluctantly agrees. Marge also decides to take Maggie along, which leaves Bart and Homer with the house to themselves all weekend. With no Marge around to scold and pick up after them, the house eventually becomes covered in garbage. Homer and Bart do some silly things with it, like make "garbage angels," but neither of them try to clean it up, but instead they both take a nap in it. After napping, Bart asks Homer if he can go out and play with his friends, which he allows.
Meanwhile, Marge, Lisa, and Maggie, arrive at the oil spill site and find out that the wildlife cleaning had already been reserved by Hollywood celebrities. The three are instead assigned to clean the rocks along the shore, but cleaning them turns out to be a losing battle as the waves are constantly washing more oil ashore. They ultimately abandon the job and go home.
Meanwhile, Bart is out with his friends playing with a toy airplane. After Nelson gets a hold of the control he sends the plane flying after Ralph and Martin Prince, who are out on a paddle boat. As they are running from it, the plane ends up nearly coming at Mr. Burns and Smithers, who are out having a picnic, but Smithers manages to deflect the plane with his head and it ends up on the roof of a creepy old gated house. When the boys try to contact the owner of the house through a gate intercom, the creepy voice of woman in the house tells the kids that they are not allowed there and to go away. Undeterred, Bart climbs over the gate anyway and up a tree to the roof of the house and retrieves the plane. After snatching the plane up, Bart ends up falling down the roof and knocks off a stone gargoyle along the way breaking it. Bart is left dangling from the side of the roof by his hands and then along comes a rolly-polly, which crawls over his hands tickling him and causes him to fall into the bushes below. The old woman of the house emerges and scares Bart's friends away and takes Bart by the ear all the way home to tell his father what he had done. Homer doesn't agree with the old woman's suggestion to punish Bart at first, but ultimately agrees when she threatens to come back and talk to Marge. Homer decides as a punishment for Bart to takes him to the woman's house to work off the damages.
Bart initially goes into the old woman's house thinking he would be spending the weekend cleaning up some dump for some creepy old witch, but then learns the house actually operates as a secret burlesque house in Springfield. Bart suddenly changes his attitude and becomes very happy to be helping out there with all of the strippers. Bart is given various jobs at the house, which includes scrubbing the bathrooms, being a door greeter, and even filling in for an emcee.
While working the door one day, Bart's grandpa comes in and walks right back out after seeing Bart there. Grandpa asks Bart if Homer knew that he was working there. When Bart tells him that it was actually Homer's idea, Grandpa orders a drink from Bart and goes in for the show.
Next we see Principal Skinner come in. When Skinner sees Bart at the door he first tries to come up with some excuse that he was actually looking for the air and space museum.
In the next scene, we see Skinner, Reverend Lovejoy, his wife, and Ned and Maude Flanders come to the Simpsons home to talk to Homer about Bart working at the burlesque house. During the conversation, Marge comes home and hears about it. Furious, Marge goes over to the burlesque house and tries to convince the proprietress Belle to close shop and get out of Springfield, but Belle refuses, saying her business was just part of the town like the Quik-E-Mart and the school. Marge then goes to the city council meeting to warn the whole town about the secret house.
While at the meeting, Marge shows the town slides of of Springfield residents caught coming out of the burlesque house, including Mayor Quimby, Chief Wiggum, and Marge's own sister Patty. Marge convinces the townsfolk to form an angry mob and go tear down the burlesque house. When the mob arrives at the house and starts to destroy it, Homer interrupts and engages them in a musical song and dance with Belle, and the burlesque dancers, with the whole town eventually chiming in. They become convinced by the song's message that the burlesque house is really just a part of Springfield like the Kwik-E- Mart and Moe's. They all agree that they love the house, but Marge, who had gone to retrieve a bulldozer during the song, ends up accidentally letting it loose on the house destroying a part of it. Belle is mad, but Bart convinces Marge that she can make up the damage to Belle by working it off like he did. Marge is given a comedy act at the house with a dummy. During Marge's act, Homer, who is sitting in the audience, hilariously yells out at Marge to "take it off" prompting Bart to have to escort him out.
This is one of my favorite episodes of The Simpsons. I would say, it is probably #4 on my top ten Simpsons episodes list. I give it a 10 out of 10 score.

When there is a surprise nuclear safety inspection at the power plant, Homer fails a test given to him by the inspectors and causes an actual nuclear meltdown in their testing vehicle, which was actually supposed to be just a simulator. The inspectors learn from Homer's files that he never even took the required college course for his position. When the inspectors demand Mr. Burns do something about it, he first tries to buy them off with gifts but they refuse them. Mr. Burns and his lawyers come to Homer's house that night and tell Homer that he will have to enroll in college and take the course or lose his job.
Homer ends up having a hard time at first applying to colleges with his low-intelligence and screwball ways. Instead of sending out well thought-out essays and stuff like that, Homer sends in pictures and stories of himself being drunk, scarfing down birthday cake, and doing other silly stuff, causing the colleges to think he is crazy and deny all of his applications. Homer then convinces Mr. Burns to pull some strings for him at Springfield University, where Mr. Burns has a chair at. The committee finally accepts Homer's application after Mr. Burns threatens them with violence with a bat(in his old, weak ways of course). Homer is finally going to college.
After watching too many movies about college, Homer initially goes in assuming life there will be all parties. When Marge drives Homer up to the school, he yells out the window at some nerdy-looking kid he sees and tries to point the nerd out to some jock-looking guy, who doesn't get the joke.
Homer immediately goes into prank mode at the school mixer and spikes the punch bowl. When one kid takes a sip of the punch, he realizes that it is spiked and immediately goes and tells the rest of the class about it, and promises them their parents will all be there to pick them up shortly. Homer blames the students lack of fun on the school's "Crusty, bitter old dean," who turns out to really be all young and laid back. Despite this, Homer still continues to see the dean as some crusty old man like in the movies.
Homer initially doesn't take his college course seriously at all, and begins to fail it. After causing a nuclear meltdown at the school, Homer is sent by the dean to be tutored by some of the school's more genius students. Homer initially sees the tutors as nothing but nerds, whom he has already deemed are his "mortal enemies," but after getting to know them a little better, Homer starts to have some fun with them. Homer, with Bart's help, ultimately talks the three boys into helping him take part in the ultimate school prank involving the pig mascot of the school's rival Springfield A&M. After the three boys are expelled, Homer lets the three come stay at his house for awhile, much to his family's chagrin. Homer comes up with a scheme to get his friends back into school by setting up some fake scheme where the three nerds will pretend to save the dean's life. The scheme ultimately goes all wrong and puts the dean into the hospital with a broken leg and arm, but after some convincing by Homer, the dean ultimately agrees to let Homer's friends back into school. With the help of his tutors, Homer crams for his final exams, but ends up failing them. Marge then gets Homer to agree to take the course over again with Homer celebrating going back to school. The closing credits have Homer shown in a number of funny scenes at the school taking part in a number of pranks and other fun in the style of classic college movies like "Animal House" and "Porky's"
All in all, this episode is a great Simpsons-style send-up of all of the classic college movies like "Animal House" and "Porky's." I give it 9 out of 10 stars.
Homer ends up having a hard time at first applying to colleges with his low-intelligence and screwball ways. Instead of sending out well thought-out essays and stuff like that, Homer sends in pictures and stories of himself being drunk, scarfing down birthday cake, and doing other silly stuff, causing the colleges to think he is crazy and deny all of his applications. Homer then convinces Mr. Burns to pull some strings for him at Springfield University, where Mr. Burns has a chair at. The committee finally accepts Homer's application after Mr. Burns threatens them with violence with a bat(in his old, weak ways of course). Homer is finally going to college.
After watching too many movies about college, Homer initially goes in assuming life there will be all parties. When Marge drives Homer up to the school, he yells out the window at some nerdy-looking kid he sees and tries to point the nerd out to some jock-looking guy, who doesn't get the joke.
Homer immediately goes into prank mode at the school mixer and spikes the punch bowl. When one kid takes a sip of the punch, he realizes that it is spiked and immediately goes and tells the rest of the class about it, and promises them their parents will all be there to pick them up shortly. Homer blames the students lack of fun on the school's "Crusty, bitter old dean," who turns out to really be all young and laid back. Despite this, Homer still continues to see the dean as some crusty old man like in the movies.
Homer initially doesn't take his college course seriously at all, and begins to fail it. After causing a nuclear meltdown at the school, Homer is sent by the dean to be tutored by some of the school's more genius students. Homer initially sees the tutors as nothing but nerds, whom he has already deemed are his "mortal enemies," but after getting to know them a little better, Homer starts to have some fun with them. Homer, with Bart's help, ultimately talks the three boys into helping him take part in the ultimate school prank involving the pig mascot of the school's rival Springfield A&M. A genius British TV comedy series that unfortunately lasted only 12 episodes. John Cleese was brilliant as the rude and incompetent hotel owner Basil Fawlty. As the story goes, Cleese came up with the idea for the Basil Fawlty character and the series, when he encountered a real ill-mannered hotel owner while staying at hotel in Torquay, when he was with Monty Python. The show ultimately became a big hit with both British and American TV audiences, and I wish, like many other people, that the show had continued a little while longer.
Along with Cleese's character, we also find a great ensemble of supporting characters, including Basil's nagging and sometimes lazy wife Sybil, who, unlike Basil, often handled the hotel guests in a more professional and polite manner. The inept but well meaning immigrant waiter/bellhop Manuel and the capable waitress/desk clerk Polly, who was played by Cleese's then real-life wife Connie Booth. Booth also served as co-writer of the series alongside her husband Cleese. Other supporting characters were permanent hotel residents, the elderly and sometimes senile Major and elderly sisters Miss Tibbs and Miss Gatsby. In the second series we also see the addition of the hotel Chef Terry.

This early episode is the first I remember watching of the Simpsons series. I was only 9 years old at the time, but I remember getting hooked on the series from this point. I remember the following school year getting my favorite Bart Simpson t-shirt which I would try to wear to school every day and often going over to a friend's house to watch the series on Sunday night.
Anyway, this was a funny(and a bit of a dark)episode of the series. After Homer hears Marge complaining on a local radio talk show about how the romance in their marriage had ended, he takes her on a second honeymoon and leave the kids with a deranged baby sitter(voiced by Penny Marshall). Comedy ensues as Bart, Lisa and Maggie try to capture the sitter and turn her in to the cops after seeing her story on America's Most Wanted. Ultimately Bart does manage to catch the sitter and turn her in to the cops, but not before Homer and Marge come home early and Homer accidentally releases the sitter thinking it was all Bart just simply getting in to more mischief.

This very first episode of the Simpsons series was a Christmas episode where we find Homer having to take on a second job as a mall Santa Claus after he fails to get a Christmas bonus at work and Marge is forced to use all of the family's Christmas money to remove a tattoo Bart got. At the end of this heartfelt first episode of The Simpsons, the family ultimately finds their Christmas gift in a new dog, Santa's Little Helper.
This episode introduces not just the Simpsons family and grandpa(who were actually first shown in a bit of a different animated form in shorts on the earlier Tracy Ullman Show), but many of the show's other famous characters, including Patty and Selma, Principal Skinner, Moe the bartender, Barney, Mr. Burns, and Lenny.

After promising Marge he wouldn't get drunk and embarrass her again, Homer and the family set off to the annual local chili cook-off. While there, Homer eats a number of Chief Wiggum's special hallucinogenic peppers(which was said to be made by inmates at a Guatemalan insane asylum). The peppers leave Homer hallucinating(and Marge thinking he got drunk again)and Homer goes running away. While venturing out into the wilds(which was actually a golf course), Homer meets a talking red fox(voiced by the late, great Johnny Cash)who challenges Homer to find his true soul mate. Upon returning home, Marge scolds Homer making him wonder if Marge is truly his soul mate. After a series of misadventures, Homer arrives at a light house where Marge finds him and Homer then realizes that Marge was his true soul mate all along.

Patricia Routledge was excellent as the bumbling middle class snob Hyacinth Bucket(or "Bouquet" as she insisted her last name be pronounced)who tried to climb the British social ladder while desperately trying to keep her working-class background a secret. Hilarity ensued as Hyacinth's working class relatives, including her brother-in-law the bone-idle pensioner Onslow, his wife Hyacinth's younger sister Daisy, and Hyacinth's other sister, the single man-hungry Rose, whom also lived with Rose and Onslow, constantly foiled Hyacinth's many social-climbing schemes. Sometimes along for the ride was Hyacinth's senile father, who was only referred to as "daddy." Clive Owen was also great as Hyacinth's down to earth and long-suffering husband Richard. Often getting caught up in Hyacinth's many schemes were Hyacinth's next door neighbors, the friendly pushover Liz and her divorced brother Emmett, who hilariously tried to avoid Hyacinth at all costs.
This show used to play on my PBS station every Saturday night, and I hope they bring it back very soon.
