Trivia:
Hyacinth's china pattern, described as "Royal Doulton with the hand-painted periwinkles", is actually a pattern called "Braganza" and was manufactured by The Colclough China Company. The Colclough China Company was founded in 1890 and was taken over by Royal Doulton in the early 1970s (so Hyacinth is only stretching the truth a bit). The Braganza pattern was discontinued in 1992, and production under the Colclough name was discontinued in 1996. moreQuotes:

I love this show and have seen all the episodes many many times.
Brilliant ensemble performances by a great cast. Hyacinth is one of the
great characters of televison. So self centered she has no idea how all
view Her. She is a montster. We never hear of any of Richard's family at
all. She has isolated him from his Family. We do meet " Daddy," from
time to time but nary a mention of " Mommy," and we never meet Sheridan.
Does she know he is gay. You bet. But she has blocked that out of her
mind. Sadly. I like all the characters...Onslow, Daisy, Richard, Daddy, Emmett, but mostly Rose ( Mary Millar's version), and Jeremy Gittens who
makes the Vicar a very cool dude. Great if there could be some new
episodes filmed, and Ms. Tewkson on PBS said the decision rests with the
star Patricia Routlege. J
