The Special Relationship (2010 TV Movie)
4/10
Complete fiction.
13 July 2022
So, as far as the film stands as a film, it is ok, decent acting, some nice shots all in all, a film.

Now, the reality of what happened is not portrayed here, Tony Blair seems to be the generic good guy just trying his best whereas in the real world the only reason these men aren't in prison for war crimes is because we would then have to openly admit that we invaded a country based on lies, which will never happen.

So if you can watch this as a work of fiction it becomes much better, but essentially just a film to stroke the ego's of war criminals to try and justify their actions.

The Transporter (2022– )
1/10
Just.. wow..
27 June 2022
Imagine if a bunch of high school kids in media studies saw the original Transporter films and then asked their friends and family to act in a school project following along the same idea.

That's what you have here.

I don't care that everyone is Black or POC (to be PC) like a lot of other negative reviews, my negative review comes from what we get as a finished project, which honestly should never have made it past the pilot episode given this was the level of production being shown.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024)
8/10
Solid Show, Haters just don't like Star Trek.
28 August 2020
As the title suggests Discovery is a really good solid show, The show is getting a lot of hate simply because the people hating on it do not like Trek, do not listen to the hate.

Why do i say this? because any true Trekkie loves all Trek for what it is and not what they think it should be. (Even JJ's FlareTrek)

Haters say Discovery is too full of drama yet sit and watch DS9 which is essentially a soap opera in space.

Haters complain about Discovery not following canon yet they don't realise that Discovery now has control of all Star Trek canon from beginning to end, how can it not follow something it controls?

Haters don't like the fact that Discovery focuses primarily on 1 character even though the story is set around that character... That's like watching The Lord of the Rings and saying you don't like it because it focuses too much on Frodo.

Haters crippled Enterprise on it's first run and eventually got it cancelled due to poor ratings, the only Star Trek show to be prematurely cancelled and yet they took onboard the criticism they were given and gave us something new, Discovery, and now people are hating on this for doing things differently.

It's just that simple.

Discovery is not a masterpiece by any means but it is good solid Trek.

True Trekkies will love the show and will continue to support it whereas all the haters will continue to hate simply because they have to, it is in their nature to just throw hate into the world, Don't listen to them and go watch it to make up your own mind.

68 Whiskey (2020)
10/10
Don't believe the hate, this is a damn good show.
13 August 2020
Whiskey 68 is not amazing but it is a good solid series with some amazing potential for it's future, fingers crossed.

There's humour of varying kinds, the acting is on point and you do end up attached to characters that grip you in different ways. The varying story arcs are well written and show many different sides to what are some complex issues and yes there is a lot more drama than action which i think is what is dragging the ratings down but that is the charm of this show, it isn't your typical spoon fed action series but rather it looks more at the individuals involved and how their personal lives can affect their military lives and vice versa.

The backdrop of war is ever-present as one could expect from a show such as this but it seems it is getting a lot of hate for varying reasons, many of which seem to be from people who i expect were wanting something a bit more seriousness and realistic as opposed to what Whiskey 68 is trying to be.

The more serious tones of the series are very well thought out and are presented in what i think is a respectful way as to not try and force them on you but still having them present in the overall story that is being told to you at the same time.

In the end all i say is this, Give it a chance. In this kind of show there is something for everyone, i do hope the seemingly unwarranted hate the show is getting will settle down and this show gets a second season, at the time of writing this it hasn't been renewed or cancelled but people need to realise this is not a serious war series, it is a drama comedy.

There is so much potential in this show i would hate it to be a one season wonder.
