Don't believe the hate, this is a damn good show.

Whiskey 68 is not amazing but it is a good solid series with some amazing potential for it's future, fingers crossed.

There's humour of varying kinds, the acting is on point and you do end up attached to characters that grip you in different ways. The varying story arcs are well written and show many different sides to what are some complex issues and yes there is a lot more drama than action which i think is what is dragging the ratings down but that is the charm of this show, it isn't your typical spoon fed action series but rather it looks more at the individuals involved and how their personal lives can affect their military lives and vice versa.

The backdrop of war is ever-present as one could expect from a show such as this but it seems it is getting a lot of hate for varying reasons, many of which seem to be from people who i expect were wanting something a bit more seriousness and realistic as opposed to what Whiskey 68 is trying to be.

The more serious tones of the series are very well thought out and are presented in what i think is a respectful way as to not try and force them on you but still having them present in the overall story that is being told to you at the same time.

In the end all i say is this, Give it a chance. In this kind of show there is something for everyone, i do hope the seemingly unwarranted hate the show is getting will settle down and this show gets a second season, at the time of writing this it hasn't been renewed or cancelled but people need to realise this is not a serious war series, it is a drama comedy.

There is so much potential in this show i would hate it to be a one season wonder.
