Crime fiction: Tales from the other side of the law.
1 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Ex-cons, re-cons, repose, and reapers. This tale has more sides than a geeks die. Like driving on the mountains, there's more twists and turns that go places you're not sure you want to be in. All in good humor though. Ritchies stories are never a strait line and the characters are always Grey. Their goals may be simple but its the getting there thats always the trick. Even though the show gives you every single step a lot of audiences get lost like a teenager studying algebra.( Relax it's a good thing.) Just when you forget about a character and their side of the story. They resurface to serve their purpose in the equation. Sounds technical but makes great comedy and solves a lot of problems with a good chuckle or two. Hope these movies never go out of style. Watch the flick.

What? No Sequel? More. More. Give Me Something To Break!

Warning: Spoilers
This tape or DVD requires a series. I hate having to type for hours on end with websites to get the same product. My "old school" designed memory was built for remembering Phone Numbers, Dates, Eye color, music and shows that don't suck. Not an endless stream of nouns that I am forced to spell correctly to enjoy a few good minutes of my free time. !!!Bonus!!! This feature did lend a helping hand with my "rent a flick date nights" when it was the chick's turn to pick the flix. Just go to the bathroom and pop it into your portable player and view a scene or two and return to the date. Save yourself from a chick flick. This is just one of many devices. That aside. This show is good. Great for watching if you only have a couple of minutes to yourself. "Thumbs up". Good stuff.

You Know what I hate ?......

Warning: Spoilers
Love this movie. Action. Action. Action. Comedy. Comedy. Comedy. Think a hero can take a day off when he's homeless? This flick answers no. Featuring gunfights that warp the mind with brilliantly funny violence (thats funny as in HA HA folks). Over the top and unapologetic. Think "James Bond" with food stamps. The story hits you on the back of the head constantly like your grandpa used to. If you can't laugh at this flick you need medication. Kickin music + Guns + Clive Owen + Mysterious Baby + Monica Bellucci + Tank + Carrots + Paul Giamotti x Endless Suply of "Hench-Men" = Good friggin movie to watch. You don't have to check my math. Just check the show. Enjoy.

Today is the day I didn't ***.

Warning: Spoilers
One of the best comedies I've seen. No, one of the best action movies I've seen. No, comedy. No, action. No. Comedy/Action. Action/Comedy. You watch it. You decide. One way or another it's hysterical, "gritty", and cool. Just as same as the first, the main character wakes up to a bad day without any end in sight. Then when it's over it's really frigging over. Or is it? All the best parts of an action movie pushed into "overdrive" (Gangfights, Gunfights, Fistfights, Girlfights, Chase scenes, Stunt scenes, Cut scenes, Shock scenes, and more SHOCK). !!!PLUS!!! The film explores mortality in a witty way. The question: What if a person only had one day to live? The Answer?... Watch he flick and find out. Again.

"Survivor" the real version of the game.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was stuck in my DVD player for a whole month. By choice. The story is down right frightening if you take a look at Ancient Roman Colosseum practices and compare the truth of the past with the fiction in this picture. Then think to yourself how real could the show get? That aside, snap back to reality. It's just a movie. A Really Good Movie. Like many a flick that pays homage to "The Count of Monte Cristo" themes of a main character spending time in prison, you'll root for the dude. Thats the only predictable part of this flick. Everything else is a new surprise again and again. The action, the drama, the comedy, all top notch. Topped only by it's brilliance coming from all directions. The story is a Gem not to be passed up. One of the best solder movies I've ever seen.

Clerks II (2006)

More clerks.
31 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
The return of the Clerks. The movie is about not finding your way after reaching 30. Because of this you can watch the show without its predecessor. An achievement by itself. !!!Bonus!!! Doubles as a buddy movie, and a date movie. Once again showing the importance of maintaining good ground on solid relationships romantic and otherwise. Reminding us that life itself is work. The film can touch the most hardened person with its realistic people, situations, and choices that they must undoubtedly make. "Life reflected as art" may be a tired statement to make, but this movie wonderfully has the ability to put a fresh perspective on that phrase. Thank you View Askew.

This movie was protested???
31 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
For a comedy with a little action and suspense, this show rocked. I had a great time with this film and enjoyed the well thought out characters and ideas explored. Strange to think that people actually "picketed" the show. Though, if you check out the news of the time this show was released, then you will find an America that protested at the drop of a hat over many various issues from the monumental to the mundane. Protesting was akin to joining a health club or starting a new diet. Regardless, this show still pierced through the murky haze of blind aggression with its following in the DVD release. Check out the flick that continues to march with its unintentional status, and reminds us all how silly people can be when mob justice rules.

I can relate.

Warning: Spoilers
Couldn't watch the film until I myself escaped the servitude of standing behind a register. This flick said it all for the average person who was chained to a register. Counting each year their soul and youth was devoured. Each scene perfectly depicts this pain in a wonderfully comical manner. For those of you unfamiliar with this show I highly recommend "Clerks X" complete with the original directors cut for a more rewarding experience. The alternate ending says it all. Moving forward for most folks stuck in this profession is a pipe dream. If anyone has had a need of added incentive for finding a better profession then get them a copy of this flick fast. In this movie comedy has a noble cause. Thank you View Askew. Watch and enjoy.

Dug it. Reminds me ............

Warning: Spoilers
Movie was great. Wished I could have seen it in a theater when it was out. I remember the 3D poster advertisements on the backs of my old comics. After listening to the commentary tracks I found out why the picture was M.I.A.(missing in action)when I had the cash to see the flick. Would have made a great date movie for my generation. Might still work today if people can fathom a world without cell phones. !!!Bonus!!! The story tackles the pains of maintaining a relationship. Plus the consequences of slacking in that department. Showing us relationships do take work.

Brilliantly written."Thumbs up."

Watch the flick.

Cudos to View Askew movies. Watch and enjoy peoples.
