Jasper Jones (2017)
Interesting and intelligent kids "slow afternoon" movie
Intelligent movie which will keep your brains up all the time. It has everything you need for uncovering true problems rapped up around murder case. Mostly rasism and family issues are covered so the movie will be great for teenagers. It doesn't pretend to going through a lot of subjects but the ones mentioned are nicely covered.
Untraceable (2008)
Intriguing but not so much tense
One of Lane's " typical detective movie. Although director wanted for viewer to be involved in solving the misteries, it have done a little bit too much so you will look at the movie without being so much tense as it could have been. Main acters have done great job in converting script into movie.
Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)
Visually genius but overloaded movie spectacle
Firstly, when I prepare myself for the movie, I was picturing older movies with the religion in the forefront. Watching this movie is like watching an Jurrasic park, visually spectacular and everything is going allong the religious plan but all of the time you have a feeling that religion have been put on the side. Although this is much better for the movie profits and don't get me wrong, this is the best Moses movie till now, I would still prefere some part of originality and biblical authenticity in the movie. Parts which looks authentical are those which give you inside what was like to be a pharaon or peasant at that time and you will enjoy it.
Go ahead, watch the movie and have fun, especially for the kids it will be awesome so it will be maybe trigger to read the real story.
Rush (2013)
Great F1 movie-time
If you stopped following F1 because the today's rules, regulations and safety is killing that sport, now it's time for you to enjoy the real F1 as it was at the beginning.
You will see courage and real sports as it was in the time where death- statistics were not on the driver's side. Good acting is supported by references to real-life situations so it ads to the credibility of the movie.
The only objection I can noticed was that at some moments you have a feeling that some scenes were shortened which is pity but except that, highly recommendable movie.
The Internship (2013)
Nice unbound worry-free movie
When seeing these two guys as head-roles, I know that the movie will be funny but easy-forgettable. It is the same thing with this movie. You can watch it because they will entertain you, they will keep up the pace for the whole time and you will remember only one or two details from the movie in the few days after you watched it.
The movie is all about how different two worlds can be matched, the geek and non-geek world. It is like watching Google-sponsored 1,5 hours long commercial. OK, now I am not fair because the movie is a little bit more than that and it has easy and understandable point so I would recommend it to anyone.
The Dictator (2012)
Baron as a coach for "western" democracy
Very good movie! At Borat and Bruno there were a parts of the movie I liked but with this one I can't even put a number on a things I liked. Although it looks cruel at some moments, when you think about it, everything is perfectly at place and right up to the point. There will be people who wont get this movie because it moves them from their point of perspective so they wont feel comfortable. If you free your mind from all you know about dictatorships before you watch this movie, you will find it profoundly courageous and deep, as one comedy can be.
The only thing I do not appreciate the most is the thing that he got carried away from the point at some moments and trying to satisfy different viewers with different attitudes so he can "trigger" them also.
Highly recommendable movie for everyone.
Jobs (2013)
Nice idea but totally wrong performance
I liked the idea of having new movie about one of the pioneers of Silicon Valley. Watched the Pirates of Silicon Valley years ago and that was filmed like a documentary, which I don't appreciate much. It's like they didn't want to put additional effort to make movie interesting. And in those times there was really a lot of interesting stuff going on but you have to dig a little bit deeper. I was hoping to see a movie about Jobs, but not in the manner of documentary or biography but interesting one, the one which he himself would be satisfied with. Unfortunately, this idea was also in the minds of the producer but the whole time you have feeling like the movie was suppose to last 4 hours and it was cut to 1,5 hours so you have lost a lot of moments which enables a viewer to see the story, and not only give to a viewer parts of the puzzles. Both movies, Pirates of Silicon Valley and jOBS had good intention but lacks the ability to grab the viewers interest by telling dirty secrets and not bio-graphing so much.
Source Code (2011)
excellent thriller
Excellent movie that keeps eyes wide open and keep you glued to the screen until the very end. Leaves something for brain curves to continue to think and after the film ends.
Besides the plot, the acting is very good with Jake Gyllenhaal playing maybe the best role so far.
Director Duncan Jones has made it to achieve right atmosphere for this kind of "Bermuda triangle" movie. I liked his first film, Moon, but there where several things I didn't liked at that movie like the fact that he explained too much and didn't left much for the viewers imagination.
