Tremors (2003)

How do I begin?
24 July 2009
Maybe I can start by saying that this was THE GREATEST TV SHOW EVER MADE!, but that might be a little bit of an understatement. I remember 6 years ago watching this show every Friday night, and loving it! Before that, all I used to watch on TV was cartoons. Now, when one of my favorite movie series ever was being made into this show, I couldn't miss out. I even taped every episode on a blank VHS tape so, to this day, I can watch them whenever I choose. I remember the day after Christmas marathon that, unfortunately, I couldn't watch completely, but that brought me even more great news with the announcement of Tremors 4: The Legend Begins. I really wish this show lasted more than 13 episodes, and concept art was even found of an episode that never was. I still hope this great series gets a DVD release like it deserves. I know that I will buy it.

Sand Serpents (2009 TV Movie)

I want Tremors 5!
20 July 2009
Warning: Spoilers
OK, I barely saw any of this movie, but from what I did see, it was a complete knock off of Tremors! They hunt by sound? No, Graboids do that, not sand serpents. Again, I didn't see this movie completely, only about 10-20 minutes scattered around, but it just lacked the charm that the Tremors movies and TV show have. I love all four Tremors movies and the TV show, and am really hoping Tremors: The Thunder From Down Under comes out. When seeing this I felt betrayed by SciFi (SyFy). They used to show the Tremors movies all the time on SciFi channel. They even had the TV series, until they canceled it after half a season. Only to come out with this six years later! I would have been much happier if they just made Tremors 5 for TV then released it on DVD. Well, at least I have all four movies and taped every episode of the TV series. Oh, that's another thing. They never released the Tremors TV series on DVD. Great job, guys! Just leave behind what the people want and keep making more movies like Sand Serpents! What's next? Probably a sequel, Land Serpents, then Air Serpents, followed by a TV show called Nothing To Do With Serpents, then getting a prequel Baby-turned-Sand Serpents. Plus, what's a giant worm movie without Michael Gross playing Burt Gummer (or a prequel with one of his relatives)?

It Wasn't Really That Bad
8 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Sure, Alien vs Predator could have definitely been a better movie. But I still find it to be an enjoyable watch. It has plenty of references to the original films. AVP has great action sequences, though you do have to wait a while for them to start. I personally believe that there should have been more predators. Then there would have been a few more fights, and a few more alien deaths. (And I am more of an Alien fan than a Predator fan.) Still this film is very fun to watch, and moves pretty quickly. It's a great film, if you can accept it for what it is. Af first I didn't really like it because of the comments I read on IMDb, but have grown to like it.

Aliens- Sequel to the Film that Changed Film History
7 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know where to begin, other than by saying that Aliens is one of the greatest sequels in film history. I would give Aliens the same star rating I gave Alien, a perfect 10. After seeing just one alien cause damage in the first film, now we get to see hundreds. And all of this excellent action is backed up with an amazing, AMAZING, story. Aliens also introduces the source of the alien creatures, the massive alien queen. With great characters, a great story, great directing, great effects, and a great ending, this is one sequel you don't want to miss. In my opinion, the only film in history that is better than Aliens is Alien, though, like I said, I would give them both 10 stars.

Alien- The Greatest Scifi/Horror of All Time
6 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This is it. This is the one that everyone needs to see. Alien is brilliant. From the directing, to to the story, to the effects, it is, with no doubt, the greatest SciFi/Horror film of all time. From the first few minutes of this movie you are hooked. The character development is great, and the story only gets better as the movie goes along. Once the action starts, it never stops. This was one of the most creative films ever made. Very few movies before Alien had the same magic that this movie managed to create (Two that come to mind are King Kong (1933) and the original Star Wars). Even though I knew of the chest burster scene before watching this movie (I saw Alien for the first time last year), it still caught me by surprise. The chest burster looked so much more realistic than the one in Alien vs Predator. The characters emotions during this scene, and the rest of the movie, were very realistic. This is my favorite movie, and I believe that it will never be topped by any movie to come.
