Fun Stuff

Trivia:
First Predator movie to feature a left-handed predator. more
Goofs:
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Graeme Miller's description of the aurorae as being caused by protons and electrons in the atmosphere is inaccurate. Aurorae are caused by the interaction of high energy particles (usually electrons) with neutral atoms (oxygen, nitrogen...) in Earth's upper atmosphere. However, as a chemical engineer, his knowledge of atmospheric photochemistry may be expected to be somewhat rusty. more

If the Predators have to mark themselves with Alien blood to become respected hunters, how come the Predator elder from Predator 2 wasn't marked?
Is "Alien vs Predator" a sequel to "Alien" or "Predator"?

I like Paul Andersons work. Event, Mortal.

Especially the productiondesign (sets, costumes etc) of the films always delivers.

But it really bothers me to see him destroying good concepts over and over. Resident Evil could have been so much more. I mean. All those wicked games packed with material just begging to be filmed. And he doesn't even make the leadcharacter after anyone from the game! Let alone almost anything else either. And he calls himself a fan?!

It's sad to see him make the same mistake twice with AVP. Again, the style is cool, and the movie begins as it could go somewhere, but then fails to delivers.

One thing that bugged me the most is the obvious compromise on gore. Its so clear that the studio wanted as many teens to see this movie as possible, and therefore made it less gory then its predecessors.

wheres the blood? wheres the guts? wheres the bodyparts?

and the way he killed of bishop. he should at least be given a heroes death, taking one ore two badguys with him. his fire-stunt was pointless, and the sparing he received just before didn't fit at all.

and could we maybe see SOMEONE more make it? why kill off everyone? Just like Resident Evil!
