Crank: High Voltage (2009)
A Greater Sequel
This sequel is definitely a better movie than the first. The hilarity and seriousness both flow together so nicely, yet are both on their opposed ends. Trying to keep off the spoilers here: If you're the kind that knows quite a lot about some of the funny things done here on the internet (and enjoy them!), then you'll most certainly enjoy this sequel. This is a movie that movies wish to be like. Other movies fail to be this funny and serious at the same time. The realism of this movie also makes it a good choice. Though there is also some really bizarre things that are incredible to think possible, too. Again, this movie has a great mixture of everything you want in a movie. Watch this movie, and you'll know exactly what I mean by some things seem like what you'd see on the internet, and not in the movies! You won't regret watching this movie. It was definitely worth the ticket to the movies!
Schindler's List (1993)
A Must See!
If you haven't watched it yet, you better get it! I watched the uncut version. It is a very sad movie, but uplifting at the same time. Who cares about special affects, and all the really extreme graphics movies have now days. This movie doesn't even have any of that except for the one red colored item in the whole entire movie. It is everything a movie should be. I recommend this movie to watch, but it is not for the faint of heart. The horror it reveals of the actual holocaust is something the faint of heart would most certainly be torn from. It's true. This is what happened. And this is a movie that truly reveals it exactly how it went.
Walkout (2006)
I give it 10/10
We watched this in my US History class. It was perfect for the time frame of which we are learning - The civil rights movement.
It's a great story about Mexican Americans willing to stand up for what they believe is right. At the time the movie was taken place, people of different colors than white were not treated equally. They couldn't even speak Spanish in their classes, else face punishment.
This also really showed how some adult Mexican Americans felt about the situation. They were very uneasy about it because they were afraid for their children.
I think this is a great movie that all should watch. Learn a bit about our history without the history books!
