Paddington 2 (2017)
Still charming
I watched the first Paddington and I really liked it. You need to look for such a good modern film in the family comedy genre. I watched with my mother and a friend with her mother also the second film in the cinema and it was excellent. Even better than the original!
All the same charismatic characters (new characters are also remembered, especially the antagonist and the cook in the prison cafeteria), there are no vulgar jokes, a great story, the ending is just beautiful and cool scene effects. It's a really good sequel to a really good movie.
The creators are planning to release a third part, so I hope it will be as great as the first two.
Zodiac (2007)
"It's a Zodiac speaking."
Yes, I'm under 18, and at 15 I'm watching a thriller about America's most mysterious serial killer. I decided to watch the movie because of boredom, but I even liked it. So, I'll start with the positives.

The main advantage of the film is that most of the events described in it correspond to reality. The film begins on July 4, 1969, when the Zodiac makes his second attack, and ends in 1991, where the killer's only surviving victim identifies prime suspect Lee Allen from a photograph. The visual effects are really good. Sometimes you can feel like the hero of this film, especially in the moment where the viewer can see a man leaving the crime scene on a motorcycle (perhaps it was the Zodiac). The work with the camera and lighting is also excellent: there is an atmosphere of anxiety.
Now to the cons! Do not consider this thriller to be completely reliable material from the Zodiac case: after all, this is a feature film, not a documentary. Some moments were rather strange, but generally tolerable.
The movie is really good and worth watching. Too bad David Fincher didn't get an Oscar: his film really deserved it.
Slushatel (2020)
Creepy masterpiece
Yes, I love watching Kino Ogon (or Cinema Fire) and their videos as well. But today I want to talk about their first short called The Listener.
Let's start with the positives of the short film. There is a great staging, and the idea that a couple in love suspects each other of murders and in the end does not reveal the identity of a maniac is pretty cool. There is also metaphor and an interesting message. The color correction of the film and its soundtrack are very scary, even without any jumpscares.
Let's move on to the minuses, without them there is no way in any film. Despite the good acting, everyday dialogues sound unnatural, while the voices of the actors seem to be superimposed on their faces. Their acting at the beginning leaves much to be desired, but in general it turned out very well: spoiler, this short film received many awards at many award ceremonies.
Summing up, I can say that this short film is very good, as is Cinema Fire's attempt to take the path of cinema. I wish them the same creative success and a speedy release of the new short film "A Bedtime Story". I'm looking forward to it!
The Flying Man (2013)
So intriguing that I want to see the full-length.
About a week ago I got acquainted with this short film, and after the first viewing I was very pleased. This is a job well done, knowingly gained 21 million views on Youtube at the time of writing the review.

Let's start with the technical part. Special effects, lighting, plot, music - all this is done very well. The short film keeps you in suspense from the moment in the car of the main characters, where they listen to the news on the radio, until the very end. The very concept of a superhero who fights crime with violence is quite interesting. The concept is reminiscent of the series "The Boys", like "what if superheroes existed in real life." The superhero report at the beginning of the film is breathtaking; it even seemed to me that this was a real footage.
I really liked the short film. I look forward to the release of the feature film, I hope it retains the spirit of the original.
