The Walking Dead (2010)
Absolutely catching..
Frank Darabont does it again. Staying true to his talent, he delivers 'The Walking Dead'. The suspense, the capturing, the curiosity, the storyline, the effects and ultimately the direction, is what gets this TV series off the chart. Throughout his work, Frank has an amazing ability to draw in the audience closer to the characters first, and then let the drama unfold.. keeping the viewer enthralled in the emotions the character is enduring. 'The Walking Dead' is another example of this.
Not in ten years, have I been hooked to a TV series SO quickly. I could not help myself, I watched the entire season one and half of season two within one day, could literally not turn off. I am a massive fan of 'The Mist', and was excited to spot a few actors from that, in 'The Walking Dead'. It's great to see Frank using the wonderful talent that he has had in his masterpieces before.
I mean, you have 'The Shawshank Redemption', 'The Green Mile', 'The Mist' and now you have 'The Walking Dead'... the previous titles mentioned show that this director, Frank, puts the utmost quality into his screenplay. There is so many zombie films out there, with the similar storyline, but it takes a genius to make it work with an original feel, or to capture people the way that Frank has with this new TV series. Well done, Frank. Knocking it out of the ball park once again.
A very happy & excited 'The Walking Dead' fan from Australia.
Saw II (2005)
Hard but Amazing
Just imagine how hard it is to have THAT many characters in ONE BUILDING and for a film to only go for 93 minutes, the captivation, the action, the writing, the directing.... it was amazing. Just amazing how it was done. So short, with a group of characters only and in the space of 93 minutes.... to carry on from an original as well... just awesome work here.
Especially with almost unknown cast members, we know Ronnie and a fair few of us will of known Beverley Mitchell, but the rest I didn't know and it was just great. Yet another great installment for the series and if you watched carefully at the end of saw II you'll of realised there IS room for another..
Intensity (1997)
Extraordinarily Intense...
This film may give assumption that it's a corny thriller but people thinking this would be easily mistaken!. This film is INTENSE!!!!. I know thrillers that capture you for the most part of action scenes, but this film captures you throughout the entire ordeal. And it is an ordeal. Even the ordeals each character experiences... it's suspenseful, extremely thrilling, 110% capturing, and when it comes down to it... just INTENSE. It fit's it's name to a T.
Not ever have I seen a thriller that is a TV movie ever be so intense. This is a trillion times worse than your American Psycho... this murderer is a mass slaughterer with the most insanity I've ever seen a human have in a thriller film. You sometimes wonder if this person is human. A glazed insane gloom look inside the eyes of this murderer is enough to make your hair stick up off of your arm. John does a BRILLIANT job!.
A brilliant thriller... check it out if you haven't already.
Rove Live (2000)
Rove Live Rocks!
Rove Live is the best live hosting show on Australian TV!. Rove McManus is the funniest host I've seen, along with David Letterman. I think ROVE LIVE rocks!. It is a successful show and I make sure I never miss it. The comedy and humor in this show is astounding. It's amazing. Everything that Rove does, he does it in the funniest way possible. He really puts the comedy in it's place, I'm constantly laughing at every joke Rove makes. I advise anyone reading this, to consider tuning into TEN on Tuesday nights at 9:30 to watch ROVE LIVE and if you're an international reader, become a fan, request your networks of television to consider airing ROVE LIVE on their stations, this show is the ultimate entertainment... I wish it was on 5 nights a week!... you need to see this show, it's too good to miss!. The writer of the show, is great, aswell as the director... the atmosphere is attracting, the sound is aswell and everything is great!!!. This show is excellent and it's doing so well!, I hope ROVE LIVE never ends!!!. It rocks!, Go Rove!!!.
Home and Away (1988)
It's Everyday Life
It reflects down to average Australians living on the coast. I think it's a great show, that's been running for so long now. Millions of families watch this show each night it's on and the viewer counts have been so high, they've now had this show running for 3000 episodes which hit during August, 2001 and now, even more episodes. This show doesn't portray every Australian, it portrays those few who live in Sydney's northern beaches and if you ask me, it reflects back on life here so well. What you see, is exactly what it's like here so it's surely being truthful. I've watched it since I was a little girl, Kate Ritchie is still in it and the shows had thousands of actors and actresses in and out of it. The writer of the show is remarkable to find storylines that dwell on drama for each and every individual episode, I think the writers have done pretty damn well to beable to continue a show on for so long, as it has. Overall, it's a matter of opinion but to me, this show reflects on real life drama and it's won mine and many other hearts throughout the years it's been in production.
7th Heaven (1996)
Terrific wholesome family series.
This show brings me love, laughter and tears as I watch the many drama's the family members have to face each by each. I think the way they deal with them is tremendously done and the writer, Brenda Hampton has done a unique job. It's a show the whole family can watch, each time I watch it I like to have my heater on and I just like watching the show in warmth, it really brings the spirit out to me and I think it's so morally advicable and it's a show any young children can watch. The parent's won't have to worry because they know their children are watching something constructive and not destructive. It's amazing to see a family so close to each other and make's you realise that there is a sweet place on earth, Heaven! It's a truly fantastic show that anyone can watch and it's now aired over 35 countries, the highest-rated show on WB network beating Buffy & Dawsons Creek, now that has to be telling you something.
