I need a medal just for my willingness to watch the whole movie without vomiting or gouging my eyes out. It's like someone wrote out their worst questionable inhuman disgusting sexual fantasy/nightmare and then made a movie out of it. I can only see this being Alex Delarge's favorite movie. Anyone saying this movie is a work of art or a masterpiece or powerful are just trying hard to be different and quirky. Fact is, this movie sucks. Sure it shows the true inhumanity of this world but since when has that been news to people. I had to watch Seinfeld after this to detox. And if you are whole heartedly recommending this movie to people you need to be in jail and far away from society.

Fight Club (1999)

***** **** is one of the best movies every made
17 June 2022
I finally watched this film after hearing about it so many times and my god I was not disappointed. The reason I think a lot of people like this movie is because the main character is very relatable. We all wanna be heard, we all want to have a small purpose in life, we're all tired of conformity and want to rebel against it and we all have this ideal image of what we want to be like (Tylor was like that for the narrator). Which is why the Fight Club was created, because he was so numb from his life and his insomnia didn't help that he wanted to fight if only it meant that he would feel something from it. The plot was absolutely amazing, and the plot twist just sealed the deal. The casting is so perfect, I can't imagine any other actors doing it better than them. A classic man, and if you are holding off watching it because you think it's too mainstream and overrated then you need to suck it up and watch it. You'll love the unique theme.

Stay Gold

This movie will remain a classic for many centuries to come. The characters and their story are so well thought out that it makes it very enjoyable to watch them. Not to mention the cast... I mean the cast is just a piece of art. It's a masterpiece. And it remained faithful to the book and showcased an accurate adaptation of it. It has such a basic theme with a simple plot but it makes me feel so much. I got attached to the characters by watching them, and seeing anything happen to them made me tear up.

my motivation towards law school
1 June 2022
This movie has me gripped by the ankles, I can never get over it. I watched it twice because it was so interesting. The film is funny and I love the characters' wit, especially Rudy and Deck. They were such an iconic duo. Not your regular courtroom drama, this one is filled with a little of everything. You got your comedy, thriller, drama, action, romance, you name it. It's one of the most compelling courtroom movies, that leaves you at a cliffhanger after every trial. I will never stop recommending this movie to people.

Best courtroom film ever
1 June 2022
Man, Joe Pesci never disappoints. A courtroom comedy classic. I originally watched this for my Law 12 class but loved it so much that I watched it again. Have you holding on to your stomach as you laugh so much it hurts. Personally I could watch it multiple times and not get bored. It's a light hearted movie to watch after heartbreaking movies to ease off. The supporting characters really add a lot to the movie and make everything ten times funnier. I wanna thank my law teacher for introducing this movie to me, because life is definitely better with it.

My favorite quote: {Opening statement} 'everything that guy just said is bullshit... thank you.'

O my brothers and only friends, I will never stop talking about this movie
24 May 2022
A Clockwork Orange is one of the most brilliant movies ever. Of course nearly all the credit for that goes to Anthony Burgess, the writer of the novel. However, focusing on the adaptation of the book, this movie is one of the best movies in cinematic history. The casting of Malcolm McDowell as Alex was one of the best decisions made by Stanley Kubrick. He embodied that role so exceptionally and I can't see anyone that could have done it better than him. He performed all the characteristics so well, especially since Alex basically changed personalities three times throughout the film. The film itself is so well made, it lives up to the book and maybe even better. It's the only book adaptation I accept. The best part about the film for me is the narration. The way Alex talks to the audience makes the movie inclusive, which captures and helps maintain the attention of the audience. Malcolm McDowell did a terrific job at the narrations. You could not see his face but his voice alone could show how menacing Alex really is. The narrations and McDowell's tone and voice is what made people root for and sympathize with Alex despite his questionable actions. I love Stanley Kubrick for not shying away from the nadsat slang, used in the books, and actually used it religiously throughout the film. Its futuristic aesthetic is so well portrayed, everything looks so innovative yet there's still a hint of vintage. It is baffling how this movie did not win an Academy Award (that I still strongly believe was an attempt of avoiding controversial gossip from the public). No matter how controversial it is, A Clockwork Orange is still a cult movie which explains a lot about how good it is.

PS. Malcolm McDowell's contribution to singing 'Singin' in the Rain' when terrorizing the writer and his wife is one of the best moments in cinematic history. Kudos to Stanley Kubrick for letting him do him and actually encouraging it by spending nearly $10,000 to purchase the rights to the song. Gene Kelly can get as upset about it as he wants, this song was elevated by McDowell.

-5 points cuz Johnny Depp wasn't in it.
16 April 2022
I loved everything about this movie. And no doubt the replacement actor was really good but we all know that Johnny Depp was better suited for the role. Mixing personal and business problems caused this movie it's downfall.

I liked it but the monologues...my God the monologues
7 March 2022
This movie was pretty fun to watch. Like it highlights all the major aspects of what war movies should be like. The only thing they added that turned my whole perspective of this movie is the monologues. And the clips of the lady and him. I was sooo bored during those scenes. Like i get it was supposed to highlight something significant to his character but wasn't there a better way to do so. I felt like i was in an episode of My So-Called Life. -2 stars for that.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
4 March 2022
I strongly believe that Marlon Brando should have gotten an Oscars for this role as well. Personally, his performance in this movie stood out more to me than his oscar-winning performance in On The Waterfront. I absolutely love this movie. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. The story is so unique and there's alway some kind of tension in the air that remains till the end of the movie. The plot is a dark one but was portrayed as more than a regular old gritty movie. The performance of each cast member was outstanding and memorable. The story is compelling and unlike others. The writing is a major part of the reason why this movie is so incredible.

realistic and heartbreaking
2 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is one of the best performances of Leonardo dicaprio. It talks about drug addiction with such a raw mannerism that reallys shows and depicts the true horrors of addiction. A very realistic view of what substance abuse is like by showing all sides such as hopelessness, isolation, depression and vulnerability. It's based on a true story which further signifies the production of this film. The scene where he visits his mother had me bawling my eyes out, like full on ugly crying. The message is given in such a powerful and heartbreaking way that causes it to be everlasting.

Favorite quote: " You're growing up. And rain sort of remains on the branches of a tree that will someday rule the Earth. And it's good that there is rain. It clears the month of your sorry rainbow expressions, and it clears the streets of the silent armies... so we can dance."

Sad Reality
20 February 2022
I loved it. One of the very few movies that show drug addiction as a disease rather than something to glorify. The symbolism surrounding the main character added depth to his story and what he's been through. It has some pretty unforgettable scenes and quotes that stick with you. Matt Dillon did an excellent job at portraying his character. It also accurately shows how recovering from a drug addiction can lead to feelings of isolation. That scene with Matt Dillon in the hospital bathroom has been living in my head ever since I first saw it.

The end of The Godfather trilogy was just as good as the beginning of it
16 February 2022
I've heard a lot of debate about this movie and how it's worse than the other two. But why the hell should that mean that it's not good. This part is horribly underrated and should be given the same energy and attention as the first two movies. I don't suppose that the death of Corleone would be the best of the first two, which is building up and showcasing each of the characters. I'm not gonna lie, Sophia's character kinda ruined it for me. Her performance was exceptional. I'm not criticizing the actor but I can't say I liked the character much. But maybe that was the point of it all. Al Pacino is so good at portraying Michael Corleone and there was no actor in the world that could have done it better than him. The ending of this movie had me in tears, literally snot everywhere and clenching on to the pillow for dear life. The end of The Godfather trilogy had me crying for days, but there was no better way to end it than they did.

The only sequel that outdoes the first
16 February 2022
For some reason I liked this part better than the first. The showcasing of Vito Corleone's past portrayed by Rober De Niro was something I never knew I needed to see until I saw it. This is where we see Micheal Corleone really transfer into Don Coreloene, and seeing how he did it more chaotically than his father was chilling. The struggle of him being the Don his father was perfectly portrayed by Al Pacino and he should have won that oscar. It is so obvious that the plot is well thought out because everything connects so well and watching this part connects all the dots. The ending scenes of the Godfather trilogy always make my jaw drop and this was no exception. I loved the ending, it just made me even more curious about what would happen next. To all the people who saw this movie in the theaters, you are lucky.

Watched it three times in three consecutive days
16 February 2022
Scent of a woman is my favorite movie from Al Pacino. It just hits you so deep even if you don't even relate with the characters. Knowing that this is the only movie that Al Pacino got an oscar for explains a lot. Not to discard his other performances but his performance in this movie is certainly my favorite. Chris O'Donnell and Al Pacino helped bring out the best in each other and they couldn't have done it better. I watched this movie a total of three times in consecutive days. I wish I could watch it again for the first time. And it's so quotable too. After watching this movie you get to yell around stuff like "I'm in the dark here!" and "Out of order? Who the hell you think you're talking to?" Go watch it right now!

Classic and definite watch if you wanna be cultured.
9 February 2022
I originally watched this because of Marlon Brando and the fact that he got an Oscars for his performance in this movie. As a teenager in the 21st century I thought it was going to be a pretty dull 50s movie, but MAN WAS I WRONG. The flow of the movie is so nice it doesn't get you bored or make you say 'ugh just get over with it already'. I was genuinely so intrigued with the end the entire time. Marlon Brando's performance definitely deserved the Oscars award that he got and his co-stars, Lee Cobb and Eva Saint, did exceptional as well and all of them helped create this masterpiece. I don't wish that I could have seen this movie earlier, because I'm at a mature age that is needed to understand how amazing and legendary this movie is.

Scarecrow (1973)

Underrated
7 February 2022
Both Al Pacino and Gene Hackman did wonderfully in this. Scarecrow is certainly one of their best and one of their most underrated. The actors have usually referred to this movie as the one they like the most and I can definitely understand why. The movie was pretty consistent but at the same time had you on edge trying to guess what might happen in the end. The ending was definitely a tearjerker. I 100% recommend watching this.

If you are alive and you still haven't seen this movie, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
29 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is still one of the most inspirational and motivational movies to present day. The movie is so funny for the first two hours then the remaining nine minutes will have you sobbing. The plot line showcases each character so well. Each character has their own unique personality but they all share the misfortune of strict parents in common. The depiction of Mr. Keating was so successful and I wish I could have an adult figure like him to look up too. It is so relatable to students nowadays. I wish I could meet these characters, just to have a conversation because there is so much I want to talk about with them. This movie will make you wish that you had close friends like they do and have a secret society meeting in the middle of the woods. I, myself, can relate to Neil Perry's character a lot and when I saw how he took a stand and went against his father, I was so proud of him as if it were me doing that and it inspired me to seize the day as well. This movie inspired me to get into poetry. I even got the book "Walden" by Henry David Thoreau (Mentioned repeatedly throughout the movie). I wish, I WISH that I could erase this movie from my head so I could watch it again for the first time.

I didn't like the remark the fake monica made about the movie "Dead Poets Society" being boring. I'm convinced she didnt actually watch it or at least understand it because i held off watching it for so long thinking its gonna be boring but when I did i fell in love with the characters and the plot and generally everything. So saying that it was boring was false advertisement. Feel free to vote this review down i don't actually care im just voicing whats been in my head for a long time. Good Day. RIP Neil.

Won't let you get off the couch until you finish it (TRUE STORY- BONUS)
19 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was honestly one of the best movies I have ever seen. Al Pacino's acting is flawless as always. John Cazale's performance in this gave me literal goosebumps. I was honestly creeped out by him, which is a good thing cuz that was his role.

This movie had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire thing. I'm talking no popcorn, no sodas, just me sitting straight up, biting my nails, with my eyes wide open so i can take in every last bit. Everything was so intense to me. SPOILER: Especially that scene where Al pacino screams "Attica". Everytime he stepped out of the bank my hand would be on my heart. The fact that this is a true story makes the experience of watching the movie a billion times better. I will be adding this to my Top 5 favorite movies.

I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO WATCH THIS MOVIE AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME
3 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was so exceptional and soooo good. The whole thing was like a suspense bridge and there were little bombs going off to trigger arthur and everyone was just waiting for him to blow up. AND WHEN HE DID WE ALL LOVED IT!! Arthur's life is like a rollercoaster that keeps on going downwards. It was very frustrating to him that nothing was working out his way and how the justice system was so corrupt. The ending was the best part of the movie, you could really see how affected the main character was by everything and how his voice was cracking during his opening statement and he even cried. He really cared about his clients and all he wanted to do was save innocent people. Literally anyone who has seen this movie will always bring up the ending scene. It's so damn bone chilling. As soon as I was done watching the movie (and replaying the ending about 100 times) I immediately texted my friends and told them to watch it too. AND THEY LOVED IT. No surprise there. I tell you, even if it is the last thing you do on earth YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS MOVIE.

Al Pacino's acting was as phenomenal as always. I tell you that man does not disappoint. He really has this strange power that makes you hold your breath just so you could hear his speech properly. I literally pinned my hair out of my face and away from my ears just so I could see and hear every minute of his opening statement clearly. He should have won an oscar for this movie. Not only is the criminal justice system corrupt but so is the academy. Can you believe we live in a society where Al Pacino only has one oscar?? Unbelievable. I KNOW!

I would do anything to watch this movie for the first time again. ANYTHING!

Overrated and boring
15 August 2021
The overall story is good. Emotional and whatnot. But you have to admit this movie/book is one of the most overrated movies ever. It is so predictable. And the character development is absolute garbage. You can guess whats gonna happen two minutes into the movie. I also hate rochestor.

Boring Boring Boring
15 August 2021
This movie should not have been made in the first place. I dont know what director or writer looked over the script and said "Yup thats gonna be a hit". Nothing really happens in this movie. Girl is sad about being poor. Girl is jealous of her rich friends. Girl gets a boyfriend and gets cheated on. Girl gets another boyfriend. Whereas the rich friends stay rich and ignorant. Just when you think something interesting is about to go down. You get disappointed. The characters dont develop at all.

Wholesome, sad, funny, romance. Full Package Deal!
22 April 2021
This movie got me feeling all kinds of emotions. It makes you go from laughing to feeling so God awfully bad for the main character. Tom Hanks out here with another phenomenal execution of a character. Not to mention he had to learn a whole other language just for this and did it so well. He actually sounded like an native speaker. This movie also teaches you things. It has a really good moral at the end of the movie, really makes you want to cry. All in all the movie is a must watch and you definitely wont regret it.

Real hope and True love
22 April 2021
The great gatspy was a movie about true love and what it can do to a person. Jack Gatspy was so blinded by love he threw huge parties and spent his days and nights waiting for one, just the one, girl to notice him. Leonardo DiCaprio executed this role perfectly. I really felt bad for the character because his emotional pain was truly visible. I would definitely watch this again and would 100% recommend.
