A Meatballs/Revenge of the Nerds type of film
31 October 2003
The Movie is well done, the cast has good comedic timing and Miss Dawson shines in her role as the sensitive artist. The cast works well together each highlighting the others presence. It's a good comical farce and a good buy at $14. The perfect afternoon movie when some laughs are in order.

A great movie that shows the real face of war.
31 October 2003
This movie shows what a truly hellish thing war can be. Where no rule but rule `3-0-3' exists. A lot of films show war in one slant or another, glorious or horrific. This one just shows it for what it is. A damned horrible mess. Many of the actors are some of Australia's finest and this movie is a credit to their skill and talent. It has simple production values but it is elevated by their acting abilities and the great script. A definite must for those who favor the war genre in films, and a measuring point for those who seek to make a film about war and the people caught up in it.

Awesome choreography
26 July 2001
Kiss of the Dragon is awesome action movie that suffers from a poor plot. For those who are willing to suspend their need for realism in a movie this is a darn good one to go to. Its fight choreography is amazing. You really get to see Jet Li's skills shine through and realize why he is a superstar of the Hong Kong Cinema. The sound track is a good one as has been indicative of the movies Mr. Li has made in America. The action goes at a break neck speed with only a lull in the middle that quickly picks up. A good buy for those fans of the martial art genre, and a good rental for anyone who wants an entertaining evening. Granted the primary requisite still applies.

Decent not overwhelming, a keeper for some
20 July 2001
The movie is a good film to pass the time with; fans of large battle scenes will enjoy this view of Japanese warfare. Unfortunately this movie suffers the same fate of most historical films, poor historical accuracy. The costumes are very good and the cinematography is very good. It seems that the historical license taken with the film was intentional as the purpose was to tell a story and not to make a lavish documentary. Well worth the rental fee and a keeper for those who like war movies.

Very well made and very good acting.

This is a film that draws you as it begins as a bar story and progresses into a wonderfully complex story as one situation spins out of control. A worthwhile rental or even a good purchase for a collection. The characters are complex and diverse and play off each other well. A similar film is Shallow Grave a British Import from 1994 or the great American Film, The Usual Suspects.
