Traffic (2000)

One of the best films of the year

This movie deals with the drug trade between the United States and Mexico.There are 3 stories going on at the same time during the film. This film has a great cast : Michael Douglas, Benicio Del Toro, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Don Cheadle and Dennis Quaid

The most impressive actor in this film is Benicio Del Toro who plays a honest cop in Mexico. I haven't seen this actor much in films but I can say that he'll go far. I just saw some previews of this new film that he's in called "Snatch".

The cinematography in this film is interesting. When showing scenes in Mexico, the cinematographer changes the color of the scene into a sandish color. Gotta see it.

My first time seeing one of Steven Soderburgh's films and I find it amazing.

Michael Douglas also plays an impressive role. He's a Supreme Court Judge and is given the job of fighting the drug war between the United States and Mexico.

This film is for people who know a lot about the history for Poland. I didn't really enjoy watching this film for many reasons. First of all, most of the scenes were too long or too short. There was excess death scenes, blood, that were not needed in this movie. This is a great example of Hollywood movies. There was no character development. There are great battles and a lot about the history of Poland. Many people have to read the book that the film is based on first, then they'll get the whole picture.

Pan Tadeusz (1999)

This film is based on the masterpiece "Pan Tadeusz" written by Adam Mickiewicz, a famous Polish poet in 1830. Adam Mickiewicz was born in Lithuania in 1798. At the time Lithuania and Poland were connected in a political union and many Polish families lived in Lithuania.

Mickiewicz felt as a real Pole. This film is about the Polish nobilty in Soblicowo how they lead their normal lives - they party, hunt , go mushroom picking and fight with their neigbours. But everyone is waiting for Napolean, the French leader to liberate and save Poland. The director of this movie is famous Polish director. He is found in the imdb with more than 30 films of his career.

One of the most beloved literary works in the history of Polish History, "Pan Tadeusz" was never adapted to the screen before. The cinematography of this film is marvelously done. It demonstrates the beautiful fields of Lithuania, with its natural pictures.

The greatest part of the film was played by Daniel Olbrychski. He showed real emotion and a true actor. He is also a known actor in Europe, starring in films, in Poland, France and Russia.

I encourage everyone to see this film to learn some history and have some fun!

Italian films are beautiful. This movie has hilarious comedy, action and drama. This movie shows how much a father loves his son and risks his life to keep him alive. I'm sure this movie will win an Oscar for best foreign film. A great movie to see!!

When I started watching this movie I thought there would be a lot of fighting war scenes, but I'm glad there wasn't. I really learned something new and interesting about the main character and about the United States of America. This is another great Vietnam movie from Oliver Stone and he deserved the Oscar. Great movie to see.

The Untouchables (1987)

I didn't like this movie and I will explain why. Robert De Niro played a great role and played it powerfully. There's a scene in this movie that seems it was taken out of a Disney movie and that's the reason why I don't like this movie. This movie is brighter than the GodFather as an example.This movie shows Gangsters as bad people. Kevin Costner, Andy Garcia and Sean Connery played their roles greatly but that's not enough to change my mind.

This was a pretty good movie. This movie showed how a government can tap into someone's life, without a reason. Lots of effects and car chases. Will Smith played a good role. A great part for Gene Hackman.

I really liked all the action, the flying cars, all the special effects. At the starting I got lost with what the point of the movie was. I think the creators of the film didn't give enough info for the beginning.

I just watched this movie last night and I can't believe that someone could make a movie out of this kind of person. I've seen the work of the Cohen brother's and didn't understand most of their movies. But for this movie I can say that it's hilarious. John Goodman plays a great role in this movie. This is a great movie to watch.

This is a marvellously made movie. I never believed how horribly the Americans acted during the Vietnam War. This movie showed that the real enemies were the Americans and that they fought against each other. This movie is one of the best movies that Oliver Stone had made. He's a great director.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. This movie showed me how a child without love and care can turn into a little menace and become and go into a rampager . It also shows how some parents don't care about their children. The boy wanted to conquer something and you will see that he does.

I thought this movie had a really good story to it and a good message. I won't say what the stroy is or the message cause some people might not have seen it yet. The only thing that I didn't really like was the always dark scenery, but it was a good film.

This movie was great. The movie had a great cast and an amazing story line. It showed how a person can really change after something really bad happened in their lives. I was in a history class last year and I never realised how horrible these years really were(with the gangs, like Al Capone) This movie was really great!!
