Mr. Holland's Opus (1995)
For People Who Love Music
Mr. Holland's Opus is very entertaining movie to watch. This movie is perfect for people who enjoy music and love to perform it. Richard Dreyfus is perfect in the lead role as Mr. Glenn Holland (he was nominated Best Actor), a music composer who captures the hearts of all his students in a 30 year span. Though Lengthy, a wonderful movie to watch for the whole family!!!
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
A Masterpiece!!
George Lucas has done it again. 22 years after directing Star Wars Episode IV in 1977, George Lucas has, again, directed one of the best movies of the year. The movie is filled with stunning visual effects; unlike anything I've ever seen. Star Wars Episode I is a great movie to watch and is also aimed at audiences in almost all of the age groups. Little children, especially, will enjoy it. My favorite parts of the movie are the Pod Race and the fighting sequences. The main characters in the movie are Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gonn Juinn, and a young Obi-Wan Kenobi. They meet lots of characters along the way. The setting takes place approximately 32 years before Episode IV and it focuses on the life of Luke and Leia's father, Anakin Skywalker. Overall, a great movie to watch. An easy "12" on a 1 to 10 scale!
Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
A suspenseful thriller to watch
This is, by far, one of the best movies of the series. It has a lot of suspense, from the opening scene to the very end. A must to watch for horror fans.
Army of Darkness (1992)
A movie with good one-liners
The Army of Darkness, the 3rd installment of the Evil Dead series is, to me, more of a comedy than a horror film. Bruce Campbell returns to the role as Ash. There are plenty of good one-liners in the movie that had me rolling on the floor. Overall, a fun movie to watch.
Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993)
A Great, Entertaining Sequel!
I think Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit is a good sequel. Though very slow-going at first, the movie quickly becomes great entertainment! The very end of the movie and the end-credit sequence are my favorite parts of the movie. Whoopi Goldberg saves the day again as Sister Mary Clarence (Deloris) when she is asked to help out the nuns from the first movie. A great entertaining movie for all.
House (1985)
A great horror/comedy
House is a great horror/comedy movie to watch. It basically focuses on Roger Cobb, a man who recently divorced his wife. He moved into his aunt's old house, and that's just the beginning. Great scenes featuring William Katt and George Wendt (from "Cheers") enhance this horror/comedy with horror and humor mixed in.
Porky's II: The Next Day (1983)
Just as funny as the first!
"Porky's II: The Next Day" takes place the next day, literally. I think it's just as funny as the first, only now, it's got some social issues added to it. Like the first one, Pee Wee and the gang are back and they're up to their old pranks again. A great comedy to watch.
Porky's (1981)
A Comedy full of Humerous Pranks!
Porky's is a great comedy full of laughs and humorous pranks. I literally laughed my socks off as I watched this movie from beginning to end. Mostly sexual humor, the movie has some of the best pranks I've ever seen. A delight to watch.
The Hollywood Knights (1980)
A great "Drive-In" comedy
The Hollywood Knights is a great comedy taking place in 1965 at Tubby's Drive-In. The central character is Newbomb Turk and his gang of "Knights." This movie is considered one of the many "Drive-In" types. Another example of a "Drive-In" type movie is "American Graffiti," which the Hollywood Knights is based off of. Lots of funny pranks are pulled off in this hilarious comedy, in which I laughed my socks off!!!
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
On the edge of your seat thriller
Freddy is scary and terrifying in this first installment of the series. With green bile for blood, Freddy gives you chills up and down your spine. Definitely a great movie for horror fans. Might have of the bloodiest scenes EVER in a horror film. Along the lines of movies like "Halloween", and "Friday the 13th."
