Granville realises that if Mr Newbold is smitten with Mrs Rossi he'll be stuck with the unwanted attention of The Black Widow.
As has been the case with previous sitcoms penned by Roy Clarke it is hugely formulaic. The usual setup involves Leroy opens the store looking tired, Granville trying to get the cash in the till, then making some bizarre concoction out the back, then we get the funny bit usually involving Mrs Featherstone.
This does follow all of those points, and once again it is Cole that provides the laughs. Credit to those behind it for casting Archie Panjabi and Sue Holderness, both have been great additions.
