I know there were legal troubles and then Covid but I miss these characters!! We need to know if they ever find rooster! Does Maggie ever decide to come home for good?

Terrific ending to a great underrated series

Warning: Spoilers
The ranch is over, with this last season that was the best one of all, finally all storylines solved, and a good charachter development for Dax Shepard. This show has shown me since the beggining how good actor can Kutcher be, what a LEGEND Sam Elliot is, but the most important, how wonderful can a simple sitcom about a ranch can be, Bob Bennet is now one of the greatest charachters I've ever seen in a show, and on this final episode Kutcher in the scene with Lisa Newman. And the scene after that with Sam Elliot, they both touched our hearts on a warm and satisfying way. Well, THE RANCH, goodbye and thank you so much.!!

Glad they wrapped it up nicely!

I thought they left too much to wrap up in one episode but it was done really well! A really solid ending to a wonderful series. Thought it went downhill a little bit after Roosters death but the core heart of the show remained. Dax Shepard Was a really nice addition. I was so glad Colt won in the end with Lisa Neumann & they got to keep Iron River Ranch which was the heart of the show & anyone from the country would relate to how important that one place can be. Another show that seemed to go out on top & didn't drag it on when they easily could've. Well done to all the cast & crew on a fantastic series.

Nice ending but overall a bad season

Warning: Spoilers
So Netflix fired Danny over the ongoing allegations he had.

Rooster was the best character in the show, so the show did suffer.

The weak arse storyline they gave about Rooster just didn't make sense. They should have just had Rooster kill Nick and get sent to gaol for manslaughter.

This would have meant he was written out but could have been released just in time for the finale. Having him basically 'disappear' was just a mistake, especially as his family just accepted oh he must be dead.

Then the show made Mary go absolutely crazy, which again didn't make sense, so that character was ruined.

Then Maggie? Making her anti gun and a lesbian was just bizarre. People are born gay, you don't just randomly make them gay as a joke.

Then we have Luke who was played by an actor that's supposed to be a veteran but is about as hard as a pillow. Wrong actor, and badly written character.

So yeah, all of the above is why the show went downhill after Rooster was written out.

That aside, the finale, which didn't really feel like a finale for the first 20 minutes. Does do its best to tie up as many loose ends as possible.

Just a shame the 29 episodes before it weren't as good as the Rooster era.

I'll still keep the faith that in 5/6 years they'll do a special and have Rooser return back.

An ending to the series
pangis91021 September 2020
After rooster got cut , the series had a steady decline . This last season was the worst one of all, not funny but just too political and over the top propaganda !

With the exception of country music, this was a gret show.

A great ending to a great show

I remember watching this show years ago. I remember loving it. I also remember being super pissed when rooster left. It sucked back then and it sucks today.. But I have to say, that after a second viewing: they couldn't have done a better job of a replacement than Dax Shepard. For his part, he knocked the role out of the park and then some. It wasn't an easy task taking over for Danny's role. But he managed to pull it off. That being said, I loved how the show wrapped up. Colt manages to save the day despite all his previous screw up's and everyone ends up winning. It's a rare win that we get to feel from the heart. And that's all that really matters in the end.

Progeekzy18 May 2020
They all think hes dead. They cant get a postcard? Where has he been? WHy has he never made contact?

I know that we know Danny Masterson got fired, but Roosters story is not finished.
