Nice ending but overall a bad season

So Netflix fired Danny over the ongoing allegations he had.

Rooster was the best character in the show, so the show did suffer.

The weak arse storyline they gave about Rooster just didn't make sense. They should have just had Rooster kill Nick and get sent to gaol for manslaughter.

This would have meant he was written out but could have been released just in time for the finale. Having him basically 'disappear' was just a mistake, especially as his family just accepted oh he must be dead.

Then the show made Mary go absolutely crazy, which again didn't make sense, so that character was ruined.

Then Maggie? Making her anti gun and a lesbian was just bizarre. People are born gay, you don't just randomly make them gay as a joke.

Then we have Luke who was played by an actor that's supposed to be a veteran but is about as hard as a pillow. Wrong actor, and badly written character.

So yeah, all of the above is why the show went downhill after Rooster was written out.

That aside, the finale, which didn't really feel like a finale for the first 20 minutes. Does do its best to tie up as many loose ends as possible.

Just a shame the 29 episodes before it weren't as good as the Rooster era.

I'll still keep the faith that in 5/6 years they'll do a special and have Rooser return back.
