While every TV show depicts stupid things and asks us to believe that people will behave in ways that we know they won't, this particular episode took things to high levels of stupidity...or should I say the writers did.
We've all seen those much older movies and TV shows where someone runs down the middle of a street to escape a car coming after them. This is despite the fact that they can run between cars, get on a sidewalk, or run between houses. Well, this episode features this dumb scene.
Then we all know about the protagonist that already knows they can't tell anyone, especially cops, what is really going on because they'll be deemed crazy. Well, this episode features that too and she seems surprised at the results.
Then, can someone tell me why the protagonist is the only one that doesn't seem to change her clothes regularly. She must be pretty ripe, but shows up at a party and does the typical trope thing that apparently all teenage girls are supposed to do when they've simply had enough.
In fact, there are plenty more examples of things that you simply see coming from 5 miles away - everything telegraphed, nothing exciting, but typical of a show that is about mid-season and looking to stretch things out.
Hopefully things improve in time for the cliffhanger season finale...?
