Emotionally charged

Warning: Spoilers
I'll keep this short - I don't get too involved in TV programs I know its acting and not real. This episode of Seal Team was extremely emotional, it is a credit to the actors and program makers. It dealt with the death of a soldier with dignity and honor which must resonate with any soldier and their families.

Well done.

This episode hit me unexpectedly

I have been following this show since its inception. I was never in the military but this depiction of loss really hit me hard. Dire Straits Brothers In Arms was the kicker.....

Another great episode!

This episode brings back a lot of memories that no civilian ( and a small few vets) will ever understand. Serving in the military creates a bond like no other. This episode shows what it's like when you're truly dedicated and what it's like to fight / serve for someone else's protection and defense. We all give some. Some give all.

Unbelievably Powerful Episode!

I wish I was this kind of man! This episode depicted the service/sacrifice of our men and women in the military around the world. How proud we all should be! Not only that, it showed the sacrifices their families make at home. It is people like the ones portrayed that make me PROUD to be an American. I cried as they stood on the transport and every available service person on the plane stood at the flag draped casket and recited their Oath of Service: two days later I could still tear up as I picture their response to the lose of a brother.

Powerful Episode

This was a powerful episode on what it means to serve. Thank you to all those who have served. Kerri gave a great performance, well beyond her years. The writing was excellent when Emma confronts Jason.

I seldom take the time of rating episodes in a tv-show but I must say that this was up there in the top of best episodes in any tv-show. Very well directed by Silver Tree and great music. Really powerful and emotional.

Emotional roller coaster

I love this program. They show the seal team as powerful enforces but this episode show the humans behind the Seals. I blubbered like a baby all of the way through. Excellent acting by all and brilliant production.

Outstanding performances, commanding control of narrative

Warning: Spoilers
I watch a lot of television, and I have to say that for the most part episodes tend to just come and go. In one ear out the next kind of thing, But this episode was different. I guess you could say it was transcendent in its ability to nail me to my computer, leaving me hanging on to every last moment. The performances were commanding, and, as usual, David Boreanaz put in his best performance of the series. Adam's death was brutal in every sense of the word. It's impact on the team was palpable, and the direction and pacing stitched together a drama far beyond the emotion depth and scope of most shows in this genre. Is Seal Team heavy-handed in its patriotism? Absolutely, and rightly so given the things these men and women are willing to do to serve their country. As stated by Jason's daughter, Emma, "it isn't about you, dad. It's about everyone else," when referencing his need to remain a part of his tram, his brotherhood, the special ops units that serve and protect out nation while we sleep at night -- so we can sleep at night. This was a defining moment in the series and it was extraordinarily well executed. I might suggest watching the series from the beginning to better understand the context of people, relationships and events. Marching off the military transport, coffin in hands brought tears to my eyes. Bravo.

Terrible Writing Again?
bill-21581 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
OK. Maybe the enemy sniper is just the worst sniper ever. Maybe it's just another case of bad, unbelievable writing.

They show the sniper popping off round after round with no target. The SEAL Team is behind cover and not exposed, and this sniper guy is just shooting at nothing.

Bad sniper or bad writing? You decide.

Not quite
dncorp2 November 2018
With the S.E.A.L. Team Leader quitting Bravo Team would have been removed from Operational Status.

S.E.A.L. Team Leaders are usually Officers not Senior Chief Petty Officers. The reason why Officers and not NCOs, has to do with the level of Accountability and Responsibility regardless of training, and experience, as in the event of failure the Public will accept an Officer as a sacrifice but not an Enlisted nor NCO.

When anything else happens to a S.E.A.L. Team usually the Commanding Officer will disband the entire S.E.A.L. Team, and from New S.E.A.L.s create a new Bravo Team. Some say that's because of something to do with luck, others say because the Psychology of moving on, getting over the death(s) of Team Members.

Usually, the smart S.E.A.L. Team Commanding Officer has another S.E.A.L. Team deployed with the Mission S.E.A.L. Team. U.S. Army Special Forces in the event that the ODA become Non Operational, the ODB (Support Team) becomes the ODA and Continues Mission.

Rating this 8 for Action.

3 for Accuracy (above reasons).
