No Kwan makes a good show
grayabi28 April 2022
Without Kwan the show felt so much better and moved along at a nice pace with story and characters that feel more natural and real.

Overall very good episode or maybe I'm just happy there is not kwan. Taking 1 off for her showing up for a sec (why????).

That Ending...
bbevis-4795429 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The final moments of this episode was awesome. The scale of Halo was beautiful and so was the music that accompanied. The pacing of this episode gave us plenty of screen time with the more interesting characters in Halo so far. Charlie Murphy as Makee was a stand out for me in terms of performances. The nuances in her facial expressions and the intensity of her performance was a highlight. Another element of this episode that worked was the cinematography. Utilizing practical sets mixed with decent CGI, and intimately positioning the camera for the more heated exchanges. All of this added a real layer of tension and suspense. Especially during the episodes final stretch. A few moments this episode did feel a little soapy, but it wasnt enough to detract from my overall enjoyment of Solace. Jonathan Liebesman skills as a director came in handy to deliver the most compelling episode of Halo to date. Cautiously optimistic for the future.

More and More Intriguing
hamskillen28 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
After the excllent battle of the last episode, this episode slows down again to develop the story more. The evetual reveal of the Halo ring is excellant and the development of Chief continues to impress me. I'm finding the story getting more and more interesting as it goes along. Also, there is not Kwan part in this episode which is great, since that is the only weak part of the series so far. Overall a great episode the further develops the story and characters.

No Madrigal... Show quality goes up
Funkeysnow28 April 2022
At this point, I'd take out that whole storyline. This show doesn't need it. We all came to watch MASTER CHIEF, not Kwan and cowboy bebop.

Dope episode. Drives the plot and paces it along. I've always liked this show from the premiere. At the very least you can tell it's well produced and the cgi is up to par, especially as a sci-fi show. No need to rush it. There's plenty of material to use and explore in the halo universe.

WOW
jamiemc-1363928 April 2022
The only reason why I'm upset right now is bc I can't rate this episode 11/10. Halo fans want the action but this episode shows it doesn't need it. For the people out there starting to lose interest you need to watch this one.

By far the best episode of the season
jjpscott0128 April 2022
This episode really moves things along and I feel like this is one of the episodes where a lot of the early season buildup is starting to pay off. Very well done, and this show is showing signs it could be a huge smash for Paramount if this continues.

"Nothing makes any sense until the benefits are manifest"
bosporan28 April 2022
A second consecutive episode par excellence.

The overarching power politics regarding Spartan Project origin and control, credibly and consistently defines key characters' action and emotion. In combination with the artefact's emergent effects, a magnificent multi-layered story is born.

Charlie Murphy (Makee) and Pablo Schreiber (MC) are superb individually and collectively, beautifully portraying the dawning of their destiny. The best dialogue so far, the absence of extraneous side-plots and numerous cinematography details make this the season's pinnacle.

They had us in the first half here.
kodak25528 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I had some points where i rolled my eyes , especially when Chief talks to Makee where she tries to tell him not to touch the stone and Chief looked so convinced by her ( really unlike chief) but good God they save it to the next scene with him telling Miranda his doubs about her working for the covenant.

But the last 5 min where mind blowing and make me crave for a next episode.

This last episode gave me so much of a halo, the feeling combined with the adrenaline, and not knowing what to expect make it a 10 out of 10.

Fun!
eldrakeo29 July 2022
This is my favorite episode so far. Kwan is fine; but definitely should not be a main plot line, I do not hate her like many others, but she seems to be a filler. With a big budget and sooooo much lore, focus on the fandom for season 2 and finally make a show/movie to appease the fans and not just the random masses.

A much better episode
garabedian12329 April 2022
Watchable, enjoyable...Not halo, but not bad either.. its like a mirror universe Halo series but being that..its still not bad...i mean now. Last few episodes were so bad that just because this one is better does not make it a 10.

Close to a masterpiece
Kutalpm28 April 2022
It's the first time it felt like a true sci-fi movie/show.

Story is well woven.

CGI has improved a lot.

Acting and soundtrack was good.

Even without action scenes the story was never boring.

Well done and good job.

Rather a watchable episode
detlic29 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode that is actually watchable despite having very little action in it. The only reason why is because this is purely a good SF, though still not a real Halo.

Still, I'm surprised to see that in distant future nobody thinks of Stockholm syndrome and they don't think they are being led into a trap.

Of course, no Kwan plot garbage (which seem to exist only to fill in the time the writers didn't know what to do with) and the quality is somewhat higher.

Best show on TV right now
pat-8755028 April 2022
Whether you've played the video game or not, it's a great show that just keeps getting better. It's more like watching a movie that sucks you in rather than a TV show.

HUGE STORY DEVELOPMENT
kinodavai28 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In terms of story development, the episode is excellent.

We are finally know the secret of arifact, there was no stupid plot twist with an escape.

And we finally managed to find what we have been waiting for so long. Very nice episode. HALO IS HERE!!!

Better and better
chiefspartanfan99728 April 2022
I'm not gonna lie, I love this show. I really didn't like only episode 4, but 5 and 6 was excellent. Pablo did great as Master Chief. Many cry babies will call him Master Cheeks, but I truly think that they don't understand character development in this series. It is another John-177, but he is true HOPE.

Excellent finale scene. Love it.

A great episode that shows what Halo could be
spambny30 April 2022
Director Jonathan Liebesman does a great job at keeping the pace while telling a story visually compelling way. Great skills in both cutting and cinematography with great transition shots (like the one with the rectangle window), augmented by compelling music that put the viewer in the eerie awe state that we, SciFi fans all crave. The actors did a great job here. No extra Madrigal nonsense. No big battles. No action. Just a simple 1h story told in a compelling way with a good payoff.

As someone who never played Halo, I think they should hire this director for the rest of the series because this is the episode that sold it for me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

What an amazing episode, this is what i want to see and what halo should be about.. not polluted by the kwan cringe sidestory that adds nothing to the series.

Halo: Tell, Don't Show
boywiththecoolname3 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Forgetting that this is an absolutely terrible adaptation and judging it only on its own merits, it's boring.

The grand majority of this show is telling you stuff, never showing you anything, and this episode is a grand example of that. The entirety of this episode's important information could have been delivered in 5 or 10 minutes, but they instead opted to spend a good chunk of the episode in one conversation where 1 major thing is learned: Halsey believes the end justifies the means.

Looking at it as an adaptation, why? The Mandalorian showcased that you can create a helmeted, soft spoken character and make the audience care about him. In Halo, Master Chief's face is never visible and barely speaks. They could have done the same for this show, especially since Cortana exists as a way to filter Chief's silence, but they went with the easy way out and made Chief, and by extension Cortana, boring. Cortana has next to nothing to do since Chief will do everything without thinking. Since Chief does everything without thinking, there's no real tension because everything just works out for him.

"Chief, touching the artifact can kill you! We don't need to do this RIGHT NOW!"

"I'm going to touch the artifact."

Chief then touches the artifact, survives, and finds Halo. Yay.

CGI IMPROVEMENT
thuanviproi28 April 2022
11/10. The Halo Ring is so beautiful! Just keep it up! I told you audience will forget about the game. This is an independent Halo movie. I hope this season more longer. Super bump for this.

Beautiful last scene, huge Level Up
rildank13 May 2022
That episode brought the show to an other level !Totally opens up the storyline !

No bang bang action (sorry kids...) and yet it is by far the best episode.

That last scene was just beautiful and makes you doubt what you thought was going to happen.

Better and better
kythia29 April 2022
John and Makee got some real chemistry. I wasn't sure it would work out, but they are great together! Charlie Murphy makes for a very believable double-agent.

I'm also not missing Kwan. Not having her in this episode gave a lot of room for story progress. Don't get me wrong, I like Kwan and I want to see more of her, but this show is about the Master Chief, Cortana, Halsey, and now Makee.

Halo finally
drazenpredojevic3 May 2022
Beatiful scene on Halo with Chief and Makee, and beatiful music.

That sound like Vangelis - Blade Runner.

HALO series gets better and better.

Episode 5 had action, but this 6 episode had emotions, like legendary scene from other old movies.

Warning: Spoilers
Intriguing and very fast paced after last episodes battle.. and of course, without the annoying little girl in a far away place doing nothing, the episode is a 9 for sure.

Before the intro tho, after almost dropping the doc, he should have taken the time to interrogate her and get to the truth instead of just threaten her and walk away lol... and then do it later on when she was being interrogated i guess by some random dude..

well, nice ending but now im confused if blondie will still want to kill everybody.. not sure.. i still think she will turn on the monsters and join her brother, master chief john.
