Decent acting. Slow....

Warning: Spoilers
This film starts out with a couple who is just trying to make ends meet. A man who grew up wanting his sister to come back home has flashbacks of his childhood. His mother and father argue loudly and be becomes almost crazy. The rest of the cast are decent actors. The couple rent out their room to "Paul" and he starts to do some weird things. The homeowners try to do their best to make the best of the situation. Julie and Ben start to get to know the new roomie and along the way he makes things uncomfortable for Julie. He starts to stalk Julie at her work.

Paul starts making all kinds of trouble. He breaks in the house and takes Julie and Ben to have a conversation at the table. While they "talk" Paul has flashbacks of his childhood. This is where we find out "Paul" used to live in the house. He ruffles them up a little. Then it just kinda ends...the film is not great.

Good thriller with two stories at once...

Warning: Spoilers
The person that wrote the plot of this movie wrote a huge spoiler that wasn't revealed till the very end of the film, so I would suggest that you change the plot description before you spoil it for more people.

Luckily, I didn't read the plot description before I watched it, so the movie wasn't ruined for me.

The acting was good by all the characters in the film, especially the tenant, who would scare the hell out of me if he were renting a room in my house!

The idea of shooting two plats at once was a good one, and had me puzzled for a while until it became apparent how it tied in to the main plot of the film.

I can't think of any negatives about the film, so give it a watch!

Surprisingly effective thriller

Warning: Spoilers
This is a well-made thriller. Unusual in that two, or maybe even three, stories are presented at once -- without any indication that they are taking place during different time periods. Eventually, the viewer catches on that we are being presented with action that has taken place in the past and action that is taking place in the present. It is not obvious at first -- which is sort of a nice bit of trickery. The narrative never seems "stupid" or contrived -- which is quite an accomplishment. I never had a WTF? Moment. It seems like this may be the first feature film directorial effort for this director. It is impressive.

The acting is very good. Colleen Irene Sands is very good as the psychologist with a hobby of kickboxing. This may be her only film. There are a number of cast and crew members with the last name of Sands, interestingly enough. I can only assume they are related -- but there is little info to go on. Justin Sands plays the bad tenant. He is also a camera operator and assistant editor. There are a few more Sands in the credits. I assume this is an independent film. Made on a shoestring? Well done.
