Very disappointed with this making it onto the show for a very costly repair/rebuild, all for free for Gloria. The chair was bought second hand in the 80s. No history other than that. ABSOLUTELY not worthy of taking up space on a show where viewers tune in for the sentimental back story just as much as the repair. Getting a free repair on a modern chair that's been mistreated and not treasured just doesn't cut it.
Paul and Pete Cass talking so lovingly about their wife and mother (Cherry) was just wonderful. And what an amazing restoration.
And Brenton's beautiful sympathetic restoration of Joanne's beautiful memory box; created by her grandfather. Perfect.
Just such a shame about the choosing of Gloria's application. It didn't sit well.
