Millienial Comfort: Gringa's Dilemma
babyjaguar8 November 2020
The first film by Latina filmmaker, Claudia S. Murray unknowingly a great study of the millienial generation. The fact that a single woman, seemingly in her mid-late 30's listens to urban music, single and lives with her family. An perfect example of a Millienial lifestyle, going back to living with family, not of their own due to early Millienial economic drop, outstanding student loans, etc..

But this "gringa", Vanessa (played by Anna Cecilia) it also serves her a lesson of being comfortable as many Americans, living in today's CoVid situation. The main character, learns from her family's immigration story about be thankful and fortunate to have the life in theU.S.

She with her "abuelo" grandfather seemed determined to complete all of his errands, and she is planning for a trip to Cuba, visiting her family's relatives and friends.

As the story unfold, there's "more" of a reason that she frantic and "eccentric" grandfather is in an all endless quest. This short was in part, inspired by the director's Cuban American experience.
