It ends on a high.

This has been a very hit and miss series, if someone told me each episode was written by a different writer, I'd have believed them.

However, this final part is very good indeed, after the mid series lull, this finale has meat on the bone as it were. All the threads are neatly tied, and there's plenty of action and story here.

One of the problems I've had has been the casting of Claire Skinner, I'm a big fan of hers, but she seems so badly cast, to the point it was almost distracting, but in fairness she was decent here. Archie Panjabi has been terrific from start to finish.

Very good. 8/10

One of the problems I have with Next of Kin is that I never was convinced by the Harcourt's and Shirani's as a vaguely real family. It was a case of the casting director bought some Asian actors together and told them to pretend they knew each other. I think the script did not serve them well.

Guy gets come character development as he figures out that the people he works for are dealing with a terrorist financier and the powers that be are happy as long as this financier invests in Britain.

As for Danish I think we can guess that things are not going to turn out well for him. He is taken by the terrorists to plant a bomb as the police need to rescue Mona and then figure out where the next attack will be carried out.

Overall I can applaud ITV for trying to do something but this was a poorly written series.
