Another reviewer complains that this episode is full of holes. Come on! The whole series is full of holes! I am prepared to believe the the Canadian attitude towards "coloured people" at that time was a great deal more relaxed than in the good ol' USA, but to stretch it to the relationships between Frankie and Trudy, even more between Frankie and Moses... no, that somehow doesn't hold water. I would be delighted and grateful if someone with memory of Canadian culture in the 1920s and 30s would be able to give me input on this, because I take this as perhaps the most positive aspect of the series: to show that Canadian society then was more advanced than the redneck intolerance that we seem to be seeing in some areas of the USA a hundred years later. Then however you slant it, holes can be picked in the plots every episode. But who cares?! This is a joyful presentation of what might have been, with some cheerful music every time. I will continue watching Frankie Drake as long as she and the producers keep going!
