A captivating and emotional ending to a really good show. The storyline was well developed and the ending felt sincere. Great acting from the whole cast.

Warning: Spoilers
I was wondering when the show would tell us what the "seven seconds" was and we got that here. I was screaming at my TV when the verdict came down, but it was clear this program wanted to make a point about society and they did that with the sentencing.

Thank you Netflix for giving us such an entertaining and important show. The last 10 minutes wasn't perfect, but the ride was great.

I'm surprised at how few people reviewed this episode and show in general. The responses were usually a sentence long and lacking any real substance. As I watched the evidence piling up, twisted and turned by the people in power, I was not a bit surprised by the verdict. Finding the grill piece should have been enough, but the whole homicide thing was out the window. But what about the aftermath. Those cops lost one guy for a bit, but will they spend one more day on the streets. They killed their corrupt ally. The killed that poor girl. There is no reference to the results of those actions--of course, the whole drug thing is an excuse to murder, even if you're a cop. We can't extrapolate beyond the ending. After all it is a fictional piece and the people are actors, but they represent a sickness in our world. I'm glad I watched this on a weekend when I could have done other things. But I feel empty inside.

Um Garoto em uma Bicicleta

Seven Seconds (2018)

Finished Series #3

Episode Ten: Um Garoto em uma Bicicleta.

As much as I suspected that the culprits would get away with it, I was still very sad.

30 days in prison doesn't even give you time to heat the cell.

I was surprised by the final scene of the trial where the people are sitting when the judge leaves but when KJ is leaving then they get up, it was a chilling scene, perhaps the best scene in this series.

Another thing that surprised me positively in this last episode was that there were a lot of uncut sequence shots and I really love that, as it gives more veracity to the performances.

I found this series very similar to British crime series, as it has a lot of character development, each episode lasts an hour or more, the characters don't just have one layer and are very complex.

A very good miniseries, Regina King's Emmy was well deserved, she was brilliant in her role.

Unfortunately, people who are not used to character development time and episodes lasting sixty minutes or more will find it slow and tiring, but it is far from that, it flows very well.

Another thing that I saw that people didn't like was the ending, where the culprits got away with it, but in my opinion, it was a necessary ending, which despite being a fictional series can still portray the reality of our real world and unfortunately that happens.

Previous Series: Falcão e o Soldado Invernal (2021).

Next Series: Chernobyl (2019).

Third series finished.

The Seven Seconds series started and ended on April 29th and 30th, 2024.

Average: 10/10.

Awesome

Warning: Spoilers
As I wrote in my reviews of episodes seven through nine, this would be the only one that wouldn't be generic, so there's that. What a revolting miniseries at all times and especially the ending. To show what injustice and impunity are like in real life, there is color and position. All the performances were wonderful, with an emphasis on Regina King who rocks the role of a mother in mourning and experiencing the injustice of the world. I felt really bad in the episode where Nadine dies, she was so happy. Her death scene was one of the scariest I've ever seen, it beats many horror movie scenes, because it didn't show anything, the only thing that happened was that she stopped screaming, and that's much scarier than showing her death. Scene because our mind is Machiavellian and it creates things that horror films will never create. Ten episode marathon. Started and finished on: March 13, 2024. My average for this miniseries was 10/10.

Horrible ending

This was a horrible way to end the show, otherwise a great show with great acting. I won't reveal what happens but this is the most unhappy ending ever.
