The second episode of Ordinary Lies focuses on Holly (Kimberley Nixon) the PA to boss Jenna.
Holly is in her twenties and an excellent PA but feels life is passing by her. A sense of unfulfillment as others around her on social media are having a time of their lives. Partying and exotic holidays.
All she has is a time for a quickie with the warehouse worker and then she thinks even he might not want her when she finds a torn up note in his coat pocket.
When she bumps into an old flame, she creates a new exciting life for herself, just not a PA of a company but an executive. Things come crashing down when she realises that her relationship with him did not just originally fizzle out but he was cheating on her.
Holly's story has a very believable performance from Nixon you really believe in her desperation that she thinks she is a failure and her obsession with other people having a great time on Facebook really getting her down. Not realising that they have also created an illusion as Jenna tells her at the end.
